My dear Arif,
I am in receipt of your letter of the March 12, 2024. In it you mentioned about the crisis of the town. You have expressed that you are sometimes fed up with living in town. I fully agree with you on this point. I have been born and brought up in town. But as the days are passing, I find that the town becomes full of crisis.
The people living in the towns suffer from different types of crisis. It is very costly to live in town. People in towns find life very busy and routined. They can hardly ever stand at one place for long. They are continuously entrapped in motion and rush. They must move as must the water of the river. Everyone tries to have his interests fulfilled. So they are selfish to the backbone. At every step a person meets deceit, fraud and dishonesty in the city. People have little or no sympathy for one another. The town grows in a small area with a large population. The houses here are congested. Light and air cannot enter into it freely. Here life is threatened by severe environmental pollutions caused by dust, smoke, buzz, smell of carbon mono-oxide, continuous obnoxious sounds of motor vehicles and factories, filths and hardened touch of bricks tiles and pavements. Cars, buses, taxies, lorries, scooters and rickshaws ply along the streets from morning to midnight. There are street accidents, traffic jams. All these tell upon the nerves of the people living in the town. I do not know when and how the people of towns can get rid of these crises. However, hope for the best so that we can ensure a happy and healthy environment for the future generation. This is all for today.
Hope you in sound health and joyful time. With love and best wishes.
Yours ever,
Tahseen
Write a letter to your friend about the crisis you face in your town.
My dear Arif,
I hope this letter finds you well. It has been some time since we last exchanged letters, and I wanted to share with you some challenges we are currently facing in our town. While life here has its charms, it’s not without its share of difficulties.
One of the biggest problems in our town is the worsening traffic congestion. The roads are narrow, and with the increasing number of vehicles, commuting has become a daily struggle. During peak hours, it feels like a complete standstill. This not only wastes time but also leads to unnecessary stress for everyone.
Another major issue is the frequent power outages. Electricity cuts happen several times a day, and it disrupts our daily routines. Students find it difficult to study, businesses suffer losses, and the summer heat becomes unbearable without fans or air conditioning. Although generators and inverters provide some relief, not everyone can afford them.
The town is also grappling with a lack of proper waste management. Garbage piles up in many areas because the collection system is inefficient. This not only makes the town look unpleasant but also creates health risks. The stench and the sight of overflowing bins are hard to ignore.
Water scarcity is another pressing concern. Although we are surrounded by rivers, the supply of clean drinking water is limited. Many families rely on deep tube wells, but even these don’t meet the demand during the dry season.
Lastly, there’s the issue of unemployment. Many young people here struggle to find jobs, forcing them to move to larger cities. This brain drain is a big loss for our town’s potential development.
Despite these challenges, I believe that with better planning and community efforts, we can overcome these crises. I hope the authorities take notice and implement sustainable solutions soon.
How are things in your town? I’d love to hear about the situation there. Take care and write back soon.
Yours ever,
Tahseen
