My Dear Abid,
I received your letter on the 5th instant. You have mentioned that you are going to participate in a seminar. For that reason you need some information regarding the contribution of our women to the development of the country. Indeed it is a nice topic to discuss. Well, here it is.
The role of women in nation building cannot be denied any more in the situation of the world. About 50% of total population of our country is women. They are contributing a great deal to the development of our country. They play a significant role at home and at outside. As a mother in a family she manages her family well with her intelligence. This affects our economy indirectly and positively. In fact, there are two types of women in our country --- educated and uneducated. The educated women are mostly engaged in teaching and a small percentage of them work in offices and factories. The uneducated women usually work as farmers, brick clinkers, construction workers, garment workers etc. Our agriculture is not possible without the active participation of women. In the garment sector our women’s contribution is far greater than men’s. Moreover, our rural women-folks contribute to the cottage industry which boosts up our national economy. Recently being trained by government and non-government organizations, they are making different products. Nevertheless there are few opportunities, our women are eager to share the burden with the male member to maintain a family in this age of price-hike. With their collective efforts our economy is developing day by day. Hence there is a great deal of contribution of women to the development of our nation. I think this will satisfy your curiosity in brief.

Dear Abid,
I hope you're doing well. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the powerful role women have played in the development of our country, and I wanted to share my thoughts with you.
Women have always been at the heart of Bangladesh’s progress. From our struggle for independence, women were key players in the Liberation War of 1971. They fought side by side with men, serving as soldiers, nurses, and leaders, often under dangerous circumstances. Their bravery and strength were crucial to the success of the war, even though their contributions are sometimes overlooked. Figures like Begum Khaleda Zia and Fatema Sultana are among the many women whose efforts were pivotal during that time.
In the years since, women in Bangladesh have made remarkable strides in various fields. Today, women are prominent in politics, business, education, and social work. Sheikh Hasina, our Prime Minister, has led the country for several years and has been instrumental in advancing women's rights and welfare. Additionally, women in rural areas have made great strides in entrepreneurship and agricultural development, helping to drive economic growth.
It’s inspiring to see how women continue to break barriers and lead in so many different sectors. Their contribution to the development of our country is invaluable, and we should all acknowledge and celebrate it.
