4.     A letter to your younger brother advising him to be attentive of his study.

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear [Younger Brother],
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you today because I was disappointed to see your progress report. Your marks in science and mathematics are not up to the mark and it is a matter of concern for all of us.
I understand that you have many interests and hobbies, such as cricket, mobile phones, laptop, and television. While I appreciate that these are all important things in your life, they should not take precedence over your studies. It is important that you devote enough time to your studies and make sure that you are up to date with your coursework.
Remember, this is a very important time in your life. The effort you put into your studies now will have a significant impact on your future. If you do not take your studies seriously now, you may regret it later. You may miss out on opportunities that could help you build a successful career.
So, my advice to you is to make a timetable for yourself and prioritize your studies. Create a schedule that allows you to complete your homework, study for your exams, and review your notes regularly. You should also seek help from your teachers or tutors if you are struggling with any subjects.
In conclusion, I urge you to take your studies seriously and work hard. Remember, you are capable of achieving great things if you put your mind to it. I believe in you and I am always here to support you in any way that I can.
With love and best wishes,
[Your Name]

5.    A letter to your friend about my preparation for the coming examination.
April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear [Name],
I am thrilled to hear from you and share my preparation progress for the upcoming examination. I am pleased to say that I have made significant strides in my studies and feel confident in my understanding of the exam's question papers.
I have meticulously studied my textbooks, explored every nook and cranny, and memorized complex questions. My daily practice routine includes Mathematics, English, General Science, and Arabic, and I believe I am well-equipped to tackle any question that may arise.
However, I am still struggling with Mathematics and Science. Fortunately, my elder brother is currently helping me with Math, and I am hopeful that I can overcome my challenges with practice and perseverance. Science, on the other hand, seems difficult to comprehend with its symbols, formulas, and equations. Can you offer any advice or suggestions on how to better understand it?
I am determined to succeed and am working hard to overcome my weaknesses. I would be grateful if you could offer any additional tips or support to help me achieve my expected outcome. Please keep me in your prayers and let's hope for the best.

6.    Letter on your hobby

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear [Name],
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. Thank you for your letter inquiring about my favorite hobby. I have to say that reading is my most beloved hobby. It has been my favorite pastime since childhood.
I am an avid reader of books, magazines, newspapers, and any other reading material that I find interesting. Reading has always been a source of great joy and entertainment for me. When I was a child, I always begged my parents to read fairy tales and stories to me. But soon, they got tired of reading to me all the time. So, I learned to read on my own. I started with simple ABC books and soon graduated to fairy tales and other stories. Now, I read just about anything that I can get my hands on.
The best thing about reading is that it has allowed me to learn so much about the world that I would otherwise not know. I love learning about different cultures, lifestyles, and viewpoints. Reading has also helped me to gain knowledge and skills that have proven to be useful in my daily life. I am better equipped to deal with challenges and make informed decisions. Reading has also helped me to develop my imagination, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
I believe that reading is a great way to spend my time. It is a hobby that is both entertaining and educational. So, I will continue to read as much as I can. I hope this letter gives you a good idea of why I love reading so much.
Please convey my regards to your family and friends. Take care and keep in touch.
Best regards,
[Your Name]

7.    A letter to friend about Bangladesh

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka
Dear friend,
I am writing to you to tell you about the beauty of Bangladesh, a country that I recently visited. Bangladesh is a country that is blessed with natural beauty and resources, from its lush greenery to its numerous rivers, forests, and wildlife. It is truly a nature lover's paradise.
One of the most famous places in Bangladesh is Cox's Bazar Sea Beach, which is known for its picturesque natural beauty, sandy beaches, and the shimmering expanse of water of the Bay of Bengal. It is also one of the few places in the world where you can watch both the sunrise and the sunset from the beach.
The Shundarbans is another popular destination in Bangladesh, being the largest mangrove forest in the world. Here, you can see Royal Bengal Tigers, various species of deer, monkeys, and elephants. The beauty of the Shundori tree is truly exceptional, and the numerous types of birds in the area always charm tourists.
Srimangal is famous for its tea gardens and the Seven Layered tea. Jaflong, on the other hand, is known as the land of stones, with the Mari River being a well-known spot for its transparent glass-like water. You can even see the ground of the river from the top of the water!
In short, Bangladesh is a must-visit destination for anyone who loves nature and green fields. There are so many beautiful places to see and experience, from its numerous historical sites to its breathtaking natural beauty. I hope you get a chance to visit this amazing country soon.

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear Rana,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to give you an update on my mother's health. She had been suffering from a fever for the last four days, but thankfully, she is recovering well now. Yesterday, we were very worried about her condition, as she was having difficulty speaking and moving her hands. However, our family doctor, Mr. Koshan, gave her three injections, and after taking the medication, she improved wonderfully and had a peaceful night.
We are taking good care of her, and she is getting better each day. Her fever has gone down now, and she is able to speak and move her hands more easily. I will keep you updated on her health from time to time.
Please don't worry about us. I am looking after my younger siblings, and they are doing well. They are going to school regularly and are very interested in their studies.

9.    Letter to your friend describing the importance of learning English.

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear Joy,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I was disappointed to read in your last letter that you are not interested in learning English. I want to emphasize the importance of learning this language and why it can be beneficial for you.
Firstly, English is an international language and it is spoken and understood by a large number of people around the world. It is the language of global communication and can help you to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Secondly, English is an important language for higher education and job opportunities. Most universities and colleges around the world teach in English, and having a good command of the language will give you access to a wider range of educational opportunities. Many multinational companies also require their employees to have a good knowledge of English, and it can be a deciding factor in getting a good job.
Lastly, learning English can also help you to improve your cognitive skills and critical thinking abilities. It can also help you to become more confident and improve your self-esteem.
Therefore, I urge you to reconsider your decision and start learning English. There are many resources available to you, such as online courses, books, and language schools. I am always here to help you in any way I can.
Take care and give my regards to your family.

Since we have not met and spent a long time with each other, I want to invite you to come and spend your summer vacation with me. I'm sure we will have a great time together.

11.    Letter to your friend how you have celebrated Pahela Boishakh

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka
Dear Rupa,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. It was great to receive your letter and I am pleased to share with you how I celebrated Pahela Boishakh this year.
As you know, Pahela Boishakh is a major festival in our country and I always look forward to it. This year, I started the day early by attending the celebrations at Ramna Batomul at dawn. The atmosphere was electric and I felt an instant surge of excitement as I joined the crowd in welcoming the new year.
Later, I attended a cultural function organized by the renowned cultural organization, Chhayanat. The artists there performed different types of traditional songs and presented various dance forms which truly captured the essence of our culture.
Following this, I participated in a rally organized by the Institute of Fine Arts at Dhaka University. Like all the other participants, I wore a tiger mask and it was quite fun. We also had some traditional snacks and drinks during the rally.
In the afternoon, I returned home and had some ‘Panta Ilish’ with green chilies. It was a delicious meal and I relished it after the busy morning. Our school also organized a small Baishakhi Mela and it was a delight to see the students actively participating in setting up different stalls. I helped my school friends with three of the stalls, where we sold toys, dolls, and other handmade items. I even purchased an ‘Ek Tara’ for myself.
Overall, it was an amazing day and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I look forward to next year’s celebrations with great anticipation.
Take care and write back soon.
Yours lovingly,
Suma

12.    Letter to your friend advising not to adopt unfair means in the examination

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear Runa,
I extend my cordial greetings to you and hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. I was pleased to receive your letter the day before yesterday and to learn that you are preparing for your upcoming examination.
As you may be aware, there is a growing tendency among students to resort to unethical means during exams. I feel compelled to caution you against engaging in such behavior, as it is both morally reprehensible and detrimental to one's overall development. True education can only be attained through a disciplined and diligent approach to learning, and attempting to cheat one's way to success ultimately undermines one's academic and personal integrity.
While cheating may lead to temporary success, it will undoubtedly have negative long-term consequences. A person who resorts to unethical means to pass an exam or obtain a degree is likely to face severe repercussions later in life. Therefore, I advise you to prioritize your studies and avoid any temptation to cheat.
Remember, success achieved through hard work and perseverance is far more gratifying and fulfilling than success achieved through dishonest means. Failure is a temporary setback that can be overcome with dedication and effort, whereas cheating can irreparably damage one's character and reputation.
I hope my advice will prove useful to you, and I wish you all the best for your exams. Please convey my regards to your parents and my love to your younger siblings.
Sincerely,
Sami

13.    Letter to your friend about spending your summer vacation
May 10, 2019
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear Runa,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. Thank you for your recent letter in which you asked about my summer vacation plans. I'm excited to tell you about them!
I have been eagerly awaiting my summer vacation, and I have decided to spend it in my village. I have a whole month off, and I plan to visit the houses of friends, relatives, and neighbors. They are always happy to see me and treat me to seasonal fruits and cakes, which is always a highlight of my trips to the village.
This year, I also have a special project in mind. I plan to open a night school in the village. As you know, illiteracy is a big problem in our country, especially in rural areas like my village. By starting a night school, I hope to help the villagers learn to read and write, which will be a huge benefit to them. We will also arrange study tours to help increase their knowledge and inspire them to study more. By promoting education and awareness, we can help improve the health, sanitation, and social equality in the village.
In addition to the night school, I also took a short training course on computer skills. I think this will be very useful in the future, and it was a great way to spend my afternoons during the vacation. I also enjoyed walking in the open fields and along the river.
Please give my salaam to your parents, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Zaman

15.    Letter to your father asking him to send some money to buy books.

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear Father,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. I, too, am doing well here.
As you are well aware, my academic pursuits are of utmost importance to me. With my examinations fast approaching, I have directed all my attention and energy towards my studies. I am performing well in all my subjects and keeping up with my classes and homework on a regular basis.
However, for the upcoming academic session, my teacher has suggested several books that are necessary for my studies. While I was able to procure some of these books from the library, there are a few that are not available there. As a result, I must purchase them on my own.
The books I require are Oxford Dictionary, Atlas, and an English composition book. Unfortunately, I do not have sufficient funds to acquire them. Therefore, I kindly request that you send me 1,000 taka by money order at your earliest convenience so that I may purchase the books without any further delay.
Rest assured that with your support, I will continue to give my best in my academic endeavors and strive to excel in my exams.
Please convey my regards to mother and give my love to Nodi.

16.    Write a letter to your younger sister describing your visit to a book fair.

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear sister,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. Your inquiry about my visit to the book fair has prompted me to share with you the details of my experience.
The book fair I had the privilege of attending was organized on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, the 21st of February, at the prestigious Bangla Academy. As expected, the fair drew a large number of visitors, all with a passion for literature and knowledge. The fair boasted a wide variety of books on a range of subjects, including science, commerce, philosophy, religion, and general knowledge. It was a joy to be among so many books, as you know how much I cherish them, as they offer guidance and comfort.
I made sure to explore most of the book stalls, and ended up purchasing a book titled "Our Liberation War," published by Kazal Brothers Ltd. However, the prices of books these days are quite steep, and I regretted not having more funds to acquire more. Nevertheless, I am already eagerly looking forward to the next year's book fair.
After spending the entire day surrounded by books, we returned home in the evening, but my excitement lingered. I only wish you were there to share the experience with me.
Please extend my warm regards to our parents.
With love and affection,
Sudha

Dear [Brother’s Name],

I hope this letter finds you well. It’s been a while since we last spoke, and I was quite surprised to hear from your teacher that you failed your first terminal examination. As your elder brother, I am writing this letter to advise you to be sincere and attentive to your studies.

I understand that you may be going through a difficult phase, but it is important to remember that education is the key to success. You have shown great potential by winning the scholarship in the junior scholarship examination, and I believe that you can do even better.

22.    A letter to your mother describing your experiences after visiting friend’s house
August 25, 2018
17, Amtala Road,
Dhaka-1206
My dear mother,

Peace be on you through the mercy of Almighty. At the very outset, I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirit. I am writing to share my experiences after visiting my friend’s house, as you requested in your recent letter.

I must say, it was an incredible experience. My friend’s house is situated in a typical Bangladeshi village, and the atmosphere there was a welcome change from the busy city life. The scenery was breathtaking, and the rustic simplicity of the people there was refreshing. They treated me like family and made me feel at home.

During my visit, I got to try different fruits, which were so fresh and delicious. I also had the opportunity to take a bath in the nearby river, and walk along the riverbank, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The food was exceptional, especially the freshly caught fish and locally grown vegetables, which were cooked on a stove made of mud. I also got to try a variety of cakes, which were prepared to entertain me.

What I enjoyed most was the tranquillity of the place. Unlike the city, there was no noise or dust, and the roads were not congested with traffic. I felt a sense of calm and relaxation that I had not experienced in a long time.

Sadly, my visit had to come to an end due to my upcoming examinations. However, I promised my friend’s family that I would return and invited them to visit us in the city.

I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. Please give my regards to father, and convey my love to my brother. Take care of yourself, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

With love and best wishes,
[Your Name]

23.    35. A letter to your friend describing an accident you witnessed
April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka
My dear ’X’
Peace be on you through the mercy of Almighty. At the very outset take my cordial love and best wishes. It is a matter of great pleasure for me that I could receive your letter.
Day before yesterday a terrible accident took place just before my eyes. It occurred in front of Dhaka College. I was going to the New Market. When I reached the college gate, suddenly I heard a scream of a boy. I found that a boy, who was crossing the Mirpur Road, was run over by a speedy truck. When the truck was a few feet away from him, the boy got puzzled and ran backwards and forwards. The driver tried desperately to hold the break but failed. The truck ran over the boy. He was crushed under the wheels of the truck and his body was changed into a lump of flesh. The truck was stopped. The passers-by crowded there. The boy was taken up from the pool of blood. A gentleman offered his car to carry the boy to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital. In the evening I came to know that the boy had breathed his last on way to the hospital, and I was greatly shocked at this.
No more today. Convey my best regards and heartily complements to your parents. May all my cordial greetings be on your loving brother. Please pray for me and write to me how you are.
Yours sincerely

24.    A letter describing the experience of a train journey you have enjoyed

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear [Recipient],

I am writing to share with you the incredible train journey that I had with my parents recently. It was a thrilling experience that I will never forget.

We were on our way to attend the marriage ceremony of my cousin in Chittagong, and we decided to travel by train. We arrived at Kamlapur Railway station early in the morning, and it was bustling with people. After buying our tickets, we finally got onto the train and found our seats next to the window.

As the train began to move, we passed through many beautiful sights. We saw hills, mountains, green fields, and clear waters. We could see women and children swimming happily in the ponds and rivers along the way. The scenery was breathtaking and offered us a unique view of the countryside.

During the journey, we played games, shared jokes, and enjoyed some delicious snacks. The train was an express one and only stopped at a few big stations. We were delighted to reach Chittagong at 4 p.m. After reaching Chittagong, we found my uncle waiting for us at the station. He warmly welcomed us and took us to his residence.

Overall, the train journey was an unforgettable experience. We got to witness the beauty of nature, relax and have fun at the same time. I would highly recommend traveling by train to anyone who wants to have a unique and enriching experience.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]

25.    Advising to friend to be conscious of Corona virus.

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear friend,

I hope this letter finds you well during these challenging times. As you may already know, the Corona virus outbreak has become a serious global health concern, and it is essential that we all take necessary precautions to stay safe and healthy.

First and foremost, I urge you to wash your hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based solution. This simple act is crucial in killing any viruses that may be on your hands. Dear ‘X’,
I trust this letter finds you in excellent health and high spirits. It has been an extended period since our last communication, and I extend my sincere apologies for the delay. However, I am pleased to report that I have received your letter, which inquired about my pen friend, and I am pleased to share information about him.
My pen pal, Susan, is a 14-year-old Australian boy who is currently enrolled in 10th grade. His parents are his companions, and they all live together in Australia. Susan is known for his punctuality, obedience, tolerance, leadership skills, towering height, fair complexion, sharp wit, open-mindedness, cooperative nature, and respectfulness. Furthermore, he is a brilliant student, excelling in all his academic pursuits, and displays kindness and reverence towards everyone he encounters.
It is fascinating to note that we share a multitude of similar hobbies, likes, and dislikes. We both have an unwavering passion for music, enjoy watching cartoons, and indulge in playing carom while at home.
Despite being the only son in his family, Susan has two sisters, who are also students and are delightful in nature. My pen friend has expressed a keen interest in Bangladesh and, as a result, we correspond frequently, exchanging letters and gifts. Susan has sent me a plethora of pictures of his country, and I have reciprocated by sharing images of my own country with him. He has expressed a strong desire to visit Bangladesh soon, which fills me with immense pride.
In conclusion, I extend my warm regards and heartfelt compliments to your parents and convey my cordial greetings to your sisters. Please remember me in your prayers, and I would be delighted to hear from you soon.

27.    A letter to your friend about the Annual Sports Day of your school
I have received your letter just now. I am highly glad at your eagerness to know about the recent Annual Sports Day of our school.

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear [Name],
I am delighted to inform you that I have just received your letter and am thrilled to share my experience of the Annual Sports Day at our school, which took place on 21st January. The ceremony was conducted with great pomp and show on the school campus under a large pandal, and the school building and surroundings were beautifully decorated with flowers, colored papers, and balloons.
The event was attended not only by the students of the school but also by a large number of guardians and distinguished guests. The function was presided over by the headmaster of our school, and the honorable Education Minister was the chief guest of the occasion. As he arrived, the scouts of our school gave him a guard of honor, and he hoisted the national flag with the national anthem, declaring the sports meet open by releasing a pigeon into the sky.
Many students participated in various games, including High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, Running Races, Hurdles Race, Disk Throwing, Musical Chairs, and Fancy Dress Competition. Additionally, some team events were also organized, including Kabaddi, football, volleyball, and tug of war.
I am delighted to share that I won three prizes on the day. I came first in the 100 meters race, second in the 200 meters race, and secured a place in the cycle race. Although I narrowly missed out on the individual championship cup, I was thrilled with my performance.
After the distribution of prizes, the chief guest addressed the audience, thanking the winners for their brilliant success and encouraging them to strive for excellence in the future. He also advised the students to train themselves in discipline and to build their character to become good citizens of the country.
The event concluded with a cultural function organized by the students of the school, which was thoroughly entertaining. Afterward, the guests were treated to tea and refreshments, and we, too, had a share in these.
Overall, it was a fantastic day filled with excitement, thrill, and sportsmanship. I hope to participate in more events like this in the future.
With love and best wishes,

28.    A letter to your friend informing about your aim in life

Dear esteemed recipient,
I humbly convey this correspondence to you, in the hope that you are in a state of good health and contentment. It is with great sincerity that I express to you my purpose and ambition in life.
As with many individuals, I have thoroughly contemplated my life's aspirations and endeavors. Through my thoughtful introspection, I have realized that my ultimate aim is to become a teacher. My primary motivation stems from my desire to serve my nation and its youth in a selfless and modest capacity.
My aspiration is not to attain riches or fame, for I have no attraction to the ostentatious lifestyle of a film star. Rather, I yearn to play a crucial role in eradicating illiteracy among nearly 40 percent of our population. I fervently believe that I can make a substantial contribution to society by becoming a teacher.
Despite the low remuneration that often dissuades many from pursuing this profession, I remain unwavering in my commitment to become a teacher. Monetary compensation is not my ultimate goal in life, for I seek to become a guide, philosopher, and a genuine friend to my students. My goal is to enlighten my students by using education as a powerful tool to guide them toward enlightenment.
It is my firm conviction that our country is presently beset by two critical issues: superstition and illiteracy. Consequently, I am imbued with the zeal of a missionary to become a teacher, so that I may educate others and positively impact society. I am resolved not only to impart subject knowledge to my students, but also to instill theoretical knowledge that can help shape their personal character.
My aspiration is to instill in my students a deep-rooted sense of patriotism and nationalism, which will make them aware of their rights and responsibilities. Teaching is the ideal avenue to guide them towards the path of truth, thereby empowering them to lead virtuous and noble lives.
In terms of my future plans, I aspire to pursue a career in education, striving to make a significant impact on society. I am committed to continuing my personal and professional development, so that I may make a meaningful contribution to my field of work.
In conclusion, I hope that this letter has provided you with insight into my aspirations and my aim in life. Please do let me know about your future plans as well. Kindly convey my best regards to your parents, and my heartfelt love to the young ones.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]

Dear younger brother,
I received your letter and I am pleased to know that you are doing well. You asked for information about opening a bank account, so I am writing to provide you with the necessary details.
To begin, you should select a bank where you want to open an account. Once you have decided on the bank, meet with the corresponding officer and express your intention to open a savings account. This type of account allows you to deposit and withdraw money at any time.
The officer will then provide you with a form to fill out. Make sure you provide all the required information on the form. You will also need to provide two passport-size, attested photographs of yourself and another copy of the photograph of your beneficiary.
When filling out the form, you will need to give the signature that you want to use for depositing and withdrawing money. 30.    A letter to your friend telling him about your favorite game

April 10, 2021
Mirpur, Dhaka

Dear Rohit,
I express gratitude for your correspondence, which acquaints me with your predilection for sports. However, I must apprise you that my interests diverge from yours. While cricket may appeal to you, my fervor lies in football.
As a game, cricket does not attract my attention due to its sluggish nature. It requires the investment of an entire day to fully relish the experience. Conversely, football enthralls both players and spectators alike, as it boasts an international fan base. This sport serves as an exceptional form of physical exercise, instilling strength and resilience within its players. Endurance and vigor are necessary to endure the demands of football, and it fosters discipline and obedience to its laws. Moreover, football inspires love, cooperation, teamwork, and sportsmanship in its players, while also promoting physical health. This game does not impose the same time constraints as cricket, and necessitates quick decision-making skills and a strong competitive drive. Whenever a football match airs, I am drawn to the screen, captivated from the onset until the end. I am a staunch supporter of the Argentine team, with their unmatched fighting spirit. Lionel Messi, in particular, is my favored player.
Though our preferences differ, I do not hold this against you. Despite our contrasting opinions and choices, our bond remains unbreakable. Please extend my warm regards to your parents.
Yours faithfully,
