I have just received an alarming letter from mother that you are not regular in your studies. You are now mixing with wicked boys and very much indulged in games and sports.

You know that your Annual Examination is knocking at the door. So, it is the appropriate time to prepare the lessons. Naturally, you are a bit lazy and indifferent to your studies. Moreover, you should know that life is not a bed of roses. Once a time will come when you will have to face the struggle of living alone. So, we want to see you as a student good in studies and in character. in order to be attentive and regular to your studies you will have to shake off your idleness and shun the evil company. Further you should bear in mind that we came of a poor but respectable family. Our father was a highly educated person who was honoured by all. He died a premature death. Now we have to depend on our own feet. So to speak, there is none to help us. For this, you must be attentive and be regular in your studies. If you are conscious of learning, you will find your lessons very easy and interesting. In order to get better result in the S.S.C. Exam. you should read many books outside the recommended text books.

Dear Aynul,

I hope you are well. Yesterday, I received mother's letter, and what she told me about your academic progress has deeply shocked me. She mentioned that you are highly irregular in your studies, often loitering outside with your friends until late in the evening. Your annual exams are right around the corner, and your complete lack of preparation is alarming.

I know that because you are unprepared, you might be tempted to adopt unfair means or copy in the examination hall to pass. I am writing to strictly warn you against this suicidal thought. Adopting unfair means is a grave offense. If you are caught cheating by the invigilator, you will be expelled immediately, bringing massive shame to our family.

Even if you manage to pass by cheating, that certificate will be completely useless in real life. You will lack basic knowledge, fail in university admission tests, and struggle to find a decent job. It destroys a student’s morality and ruins their entire future.

We belong to a middle-class family, and education is our only tool to succeed in life. Please abandon these bad habits and distance yourself from bad company immediately.
