My dear Arif,
Your letter is just to hand. In it you have clearly stated about your village. I became really enchanted knowing about the beauty of your village. Indeed the description you presented fascinates any nature lover like me. However, you showed keen interest to know about my town. Well, here it is.
My native town is Chittagong. It is the major port city of Bangladesh. It is situated on the river Karnafuli. Chittagong is remarkable for many beautiful hillocks within the town. The court buildings are situated on one of these hillocks. There are many schools and colleges, a Medical college, a University and numerous other educational institutions in this town. There are many big plazas and markets here. There is a big Railway workshop at Pahartali. There are also a steel mill, a fertilizer factory and an oil refinery here. Many other mills and factories and business centres have added much to the importance of the port city. Chittagong has been an interesting town for many centuries. Anderkilla still commemorates a pre-Mughal fort, which is now extinct. The Jam-e-Masjeed in the heart of the town is the oldest surviving monument dating form the early Mughal period. The temple of the goddess Chatteswari, is also worth-seeing. Buddhism also has its relics in the town. In the heart of the city there is a big and fine park called the Faij Lake which is worth-seeing. Chittagong is the second populous town in Bangladesh. The sea is only four to five miles off from here. So its climate is good. Chittagong is dear to me and I am proud that I was born and brought up here. I hope this could meet your curiosity about my village.
This is all for today. Hope to hear from you. With love and best wishes.
Yours ever,
Abidur Rahman

Feni
My dear Arif,
Your letter is just to hand. In it, you have beautifully described your village. I felt captivated by the natural beauty and simplicity you portrayed. Indeed, your description would delight anyone who loves nature. However, you expressed a strong interest in learning about my town, Feni. Well, let me tell you about it.
My native town is Feni, a charming place in the southeastern part of Bangladesh. It is a small yet vibrant town with a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Feni is well-connected to major cities like Dhaka and Chittagong, thanks to its location along the Dhaka-Chittagong highway. This strategic position makes it a bustling hub for travelers and businesses alike.
Feni is surrounded by lush green fields and rivers, which add to its natural charm. The Feni River flows near the town, providing a serene spot for relaxation. The town is also dotted with numerous mosques, temples, and cultural landmarks, reflecting its rich heritage. The local markets are lively, offering everything from fresh produce to handmade goods.
Education and infrastructure are steadily improving here. There are many schools and colleges, along with a few technical institutions. The town also has a vibrant commercial area with plazas, banks, and shops. These developments have made Feni an important center for trade and education in the region.
What makes Feni truly special is its people. The residents are warm, friendly, and always eager to lend a hand. Festivals here are celebrated with great enthusiasm, bringing the community together. Whether it’s a religious event or a cultural celebration, the town is always alive with music, lights, and delicious food.
The food in Feni is something you’d love. Traditional sweets, pithas, and snacks are a treat for anyone who visits. The roadside eateries offer mouthwatering dishes like biryani and kebabs, which are hard to resist.
Feni may not be as large as other cities, but its simplicity, charm, and community spirit make it a wonderful place to live. I feel proud to call it my home. I hope this description satisfies your curiosity about my town.
This is all for today. I look forward to hearing from you soon. With love and best wishes.
Yours ever,
Abidur Rahman
