I write to you with a heavy heart to inform you of our mother's recent illness. For the past week, or perhaps closer to fifteen days now, she has been battling a persistent fever. Initially, the fever raged with intensity, leaving her unable to rest or even partake in nourishment. Understandably, our anxiety grew, prompting us to seek medical assistance.

Upon the doctor's examination, it became evident that Mother's condition was likely exacerbated by a combination of worries and excessive exertion. The prescribed course of action was clear: absolute rest and the administration of medication. We have faithfully followed the doctor's orders, and thankfully, Mother's condition is showing signs of improvement, albeit at a gradual pace.

Throughout this ordeal, Mother's thoughts have incessantly turned to you. Your presence, she believes, possesses the power to uplift her spirits and hasten her recovery. Therefore, I implore you to make haste in returning home at your earliest convenience. Your visit holds the promise of bringing solace and encouragement to Mother during her convalescence.

As for myself, I am in good health and spirits, though naturally concerned for Mother's well-being. I pray that this letter finds you in robust health and high spirits, and that you may soon grace us with your presence.

Dear Karim,

I hope you’re doing well. I wish I could share better news, but I’m writing to inform you about something concerning—Mother has not been feeling well for the past few days.

She has been complaining of weakness and a persistent fever. We consulted a doctor yesterday, and he mentioned that she might have a viral infection. Thankfully, it doesn’t appear to be anything too serious at the moment, but she has been advised to take complete rest and follow a prescribed course of medicines.

Despite the medication, her recovery seems slow, and she appears more tired than usual. The doctor has also suggested some tests to rule out any underlying issues. We’ll get the reports soon, and I’ll keep you updated on the results.

Mother keeps asking about you and misses having you around. If possible, it would be great if you could visit us soon. Your presence always lifts her spirits, and I believe it will help her recover faster.

Please don’t worry too much. We’re taking good care of her, and I’ll make sure she follows the doctor’s advice properly. Do let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to do.
