With due honour, I, on behalf of the students of your college, beg to state that ours is an old and d big college in the port city. It is reputed for better education and cultural activities. Every year we hold/ arrange various fairs/ melas on the different occasions of the year in our college premises/ compound. Now it is winter. It is the season of different flowers. This time too, we wish to arrange a flower fair in our college compound on the occasion of happy new year. A flower is the symbol of love and purity. All love flowers. So a flower fair has a great importance in our life. It refreshes our mind, gives us pleasures and roots out the monotony of routine life. It makes our mind pure. In a word, it is a great source of enjoyment and refreshment. Our teachers have given their kind consent at this.
I, therefore pray and hope that you would kindly permit us to hold the enjoyable flower fair in our college ground so that we can remove the monotony of routine life. I remain,
