The International Mother Language Day is indeed a great pride for us, the Bengalees. The declaration by UNESCO has transformed a national event into an international one. We, being the Bangladeshis, feel honoured and also consider it as a mark of great prestige. It is an important day for the Bengalees as it dignifies the national ego and status of both the country as well as the nation. As you know, the day is drawing near. So, we want to observe the day with enthusiasm.
We, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to consider the matter and permit us to observe the International Mother Language Day in our school.

Sir,
I, on behalf of the students of your reputed college. beg most respectfully to state 'that ours is an ideal and old college in the city. It has a good reputation for standard education. It is also reputed for extra-curricular activities. Every year we observe/ celebrate all national celebrations and dais in a grand style. This time too, we wish to celebrate the coming International Mother Language Day in our college. We have decided to stage a drama named 'Beer Santan' by our Bangla teacher, Mr. Abdul Karim, A patriotic drama has a great educative value. It creates patriotism among the learners and inspires us to dedicate ourselves for the greater interest of the nation. It also removes the monotony of routine life and gives pleasure. Our Bangla and cultural teachers have given their kind consent at this.
I, therefore, pray and hope that you would kindly permit and sanction us taka 10,000 to stage the drama in our college auditorium and oblige thereby. I remain.

Madam,
With great respect and humble submission we, the students of your school, would like to state that we aim at holding an open discussion on the occasion of the ‘Mother language Day’.
It is our pride that the 21st February was declared as the International Mother Language Day by UNESCO. By doing this, UNESCO has transformed a national event into an international one, and we, being the cause of it, feel honoured and also consider it as a mark of great prestige. In this situation, we feel that it is necessary on the subjects for the greater benefit of us.
May we, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind and convinced enough to permit us to organise an open discussion among the students and teachers of the institution for which we shall be grateful to you.
