I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I was disappointed to read in your last letter that you are not interested in learning English. I want to emphasize the importance of learning this language and why it can be beneficial for you.

Firstly, English is an international language and it is spoken and understood by a large number of people around the world. It is the language of global communication and can help you to communicate with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Secondly, English is an important language for higher education and job opportunities. Most universities and colleges around the world teach in English, and having a good command of the language will give you access to a wider range of educational opportunities. Many multinational companies also require their employees to have a good knowledge of English, and it can be a deciding factor in getting a good job.

Lastly, learning English can also help you to improve your cognitive skills and critical thinking abilities. It can also help you to become more confident and improve your self-esteem.

My dear Arif.

Thanks a lot for your sweet note. Hope you are well with your family. I am also fine. I have come to learn that you are unwilling to learn English. I am very sad at this. Now I am telling you about the necessity of learning English.

Today English is an international language. Its importance is no less than our mother tongue. We can't communicate with the outside world without English. The world business and international communication fully depends on English. Today almost all international sporting events, seminars and discussions are held in English. Any good jobs at home and abroad is not possible without a good command over English. Books on higher education are written in English. Almost all the information in computer and Internet is in English. To be a pilot. a good teacher, a good doctor, a good lawyer, a good politician, a famous leader, a good scientist,-A good engineer, a good economist, a good soldier or a good tourist guide one must have a good command (knowledge) over this global language.

It is high time we realised the necessity of learning English. So I like to advise/ tell you to learn English well in order to make life successful and fruitful. No more today. With my best wishes to you.

English is an international language. It is spoken widely among all over the world. Our foreign affairs cannot be done without English. For higher education we are to read books and magazines in English. We are to speak and understand English when we go abroad for higher studies. Our education remains incomplete without having knowledge in this language. You must admit that our cultural renaissance would not have been possible without English. Nowadays poor knowledge in English is the main reason of failure of the students in the competitive examinations. So, English is very much important to fulfill the demand of the time. I am so glad to receive your letter today. However, mother told me over the phone that you are neglecting your English lessons and getting poor marks in class exams. I cannot understand why you are showing such a lack of interest in this subject. Today, I want to explain why learning English is absolutely essential for your future.

First of all, you must realize that English is an international language. In order to keep pace with the modern, globalized world, there is no alternative to having a strong command over English. It is the primary medium of global communication. Whether you want to use the internet, read advanced science books, or communicate with people from other countries, you need English.

Furthermore, for the sake of higher education, learning English is a must. Most of the important research papers, medical books, and engineering journals are written in English. You simply cannot access the world's latest knowledge without it. Besides, if you want to build a successful career, good English skills are highly valued in the job market. Multinational companies always prefer candidates who can speak and write English fluently.

Please do not treat it just as a subject to pass in school. Start reading English newspapers, listen to English news, and practice speaking with your friends. I hope you will change your attitude and start studying English with deep interest from today.
