Transportation
What’s the most popular means of transportation in your hometown?
Without any doubt, I would say motorbikes. Almost everyone travels by motorbike. The reason for this popularity is their reasonable price and convenience. Motorbikes come in various sizes, colors, and qualities, offering a wide variety of choices for everyone.
How often do you take buses?
Almost every day. Since my house is far from my university, it’s impossible for me to travel by motorbike. Additionally, the air is heavily polluted by exhaust fumes and traffic jams are frequent, especially during peak hours. Thus, I prefer taking the bus to save time, gasoline, and reduce pollution.
Can you compare the advantages of planes and trains?
Planes and trains both depart and arrive on time regularly, and they offer convenient facilities for different groups of passengers. However, traveling by plane is clearly time-saving and enjoyable due to on-board services like meals and comfortable seats. On the other hand, traveling by train allows you to see the world outside and admire the views from your seat, which is a great experience for many train travelers.
Is driving to work popular in your country?
Although cars and gasoline are expensive, many people prefer driving. This is possibly because driving offers more comfort in our weather conditions and amidst polluted and noisy surroundings.
Do you think people will drive more in the future?
If we’re talking about India, I don’t think it’s likely, even in the future. Cars and gasoline are becoming unaffordable for many people. Additionally, the transport infrastructure in various regions in India is not suitable for cars.
Would you ride bikes to work in the future?
Definitely not. Riding a bike means exposing yourself to unpredictable weather and air pollution. Furthermore, the main streets or highways are too dangerous for cyclists, as cars, motorbikes, and buses travel at high speeds. Therefore, I’d rather ride a motorbike or take the bus instead.
What will become the most popular means of transport in your country?
I think buses will take the lead. They allow you to travel distances without worrying too much about ticket prices or rainy weather. Additionally, new buses offer better services, such as comfortable seats for the elderly and good air conditioning systems.
Do you prefer public transport or private transport?
I’d prefer public transport. It’s much more affordable and can accommodate a large number of people, which helps ease traffic jams during peak hours and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Private transport is more costly in terms of fees, taxes, and gasoline.
