To
The Chairman,
Chittagong Education Board,
Chittagong.
Sub : Prayer for introducing a course on spoken English in the S.S.C Examination Syllabus.
Sir,
Most respectfully and humbly we would like to put forward before your honour the following point for favour of your kind consideration and necessary action.
As an international language, English is more important. For diplomatic relations, foreign trades, use of science and technology even inside our homeland, we need English. There is none who can deny the importance of this language in our day-today life. But still there are people who can’t use English, especially in speaking. As you know, writing skill in a language is not enough for any student. At the same time, speaking is a must. Though the students of our country are going on with their course of learning English, they do not pay importance to speak the language. As a result, they lack the speaking efficiency. In this context, we feel the necessity of introduction a course on spoken English in the S.S.C Examination Syllabus.
We, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind and convinced enough to realize the situation and take the necessary steps to introduce a course on spoken English in the S.S.C Examination Syllabus for which we shall be ever grateful.

Sir,
Yours most obediently,
Abidur Rahman

Subject: Prayer for Introducing a Course on Spoken English in the S.S.C Examination Syllabus
Sir,
With due respect, I, on behalf of the students of the S.S.C. Examination 2021, wish to bring to your kind attention the increasing importance of spoken English in the modern world. As English has become a global language for communication, proficiency in speaking English is essential for students to succeed in higher education and professional fields.
Currently, the S.S.C. Examination syllabus includes English literature and grammar, but there is no formal assessment or course dedicated to spoken English. In today's competitive world, students are often required to demonstrate effective communication skills, especially in English. Therefore, we believe it would be highly beneficial for students if a course on spoken English is included in the S.S.C. syllabus.
By introducing spoken English as a part of the curriculum, students will have the opportunity to develop their oral communication skills, gain confidence in public speaking, and be better prepared for interviews, presentations, and future academic or career opportunities. Moreover, such a course will contribute to making students more proficient in using English as a language of communication rather than merely as a subject to be studied.
We sincerely request you to consider our proposal and take the necessary steps to introduce a spoken English course in the S.S.C. Examination syllabus. We are confident that this addition will help improve the overall academic standards and enhance the future prospects of the students.
Thank you for your time and kind consideration.
Yours faithfully,
Abidur Rahman,
On behalf of the students of
S.S.C Examination 2021,
Chittagong.
