So school plays a very important role in student life. Actually student life cannot be imagined without school. Accordingly, first day at school is a momentous event of student life. It is the beginning of student life. First day at school is a new experience for every student. On that particular day students express their mixed feelings. That day they not only feel thrilled but also get nervous because of not having any previous experience. At the same time they think that a new experience is a new examination for them. However, first day at school is a memorable day for every student no doubt. It was the same for me. On my first day I went to my new school with my father. We met the Headmaster of the school, Mr. Rahman. The Headmaster asked me some questions. I answered them well. But I felt worried and nervous because I did not know anybody at my new school. Then the Headmaster took me to my classroom. There I saw a lot of students like myself. One of them was Navid. He asked me my name. I liked him. Afterwards we became good friends. I enjoyed my first day at my new school. I found that the teachers and students in my new school were very amicable. I liked them and I always want to remember them. And my worry came to an end.

MY FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL

It is very sweet to call up childhood days. All my days were not equally happy now and I often met with unhappy days. So when I feel blank and dejected, I look back on my boyhood days and try to remember the happy events of those days. My first day at school is one of the memorable days of my life. Its memory is still fresh in my mind.

When I was a child my elder brother was a student. He was senior to me by three years. He went to school everyday. I pressed him to take me with him. Mother prevented him from doing it. When I attained the age of five, father proposed that I should by admitted in a school. I heard of it and was very glad. I was six years of age at the time of admission. An auspicious day was fixed for my admission. Mother washed me well, combed my hair and dressed me in new, costly clothes. Father also dressed himself in fine clothes and became ready. My father took me to the school. It was a very large building with about thirty rooms and a big hall. I was a little nervous at the beginning. But the sight of the boys of my age helped me to shake off the nervousness.

My father took me to the Headmaster’s room and requested him to admit me into class 1(one). I felt shy and stood with my eyes fixed upon the ground. But his loving and affectionate words rid me of the shyness. I looked at him and he, with a smile, asked me what my name was. I told him my name. He was glad and admitted me in class one. The Headmaster gave me some instructions and asked me to go to my classroom. Suddenly, I had a feeling of extreme loneliness. I parted from my father with a heavy heart. I entered a room marked class I-A. I was very shy and took my seat on the second bench. There were twenty-five boys of my age in the class. I felt a kind of shyness when I was led there. The class teacher was a lady. She at first asked me my name and told me to sit down. My class teacher spoke to me tenderly. On the first day there was not much teaching. The school broke up at 1 p.m. My father came and took me home. My first day at school was very pleasant. I shall never forget that happy day. I have still a vivid recollection of it.

My   First    Day  at    School

Or, My Memorable Day

Many events happened in my life long ago. I have forgotten some events. But I translucently remember some. They will remain ever fresh in my memory. My first day at school is one of such events.

I was six years old when I was first admitted to school. My father taught me seriously at home. My elder brother was then reading in the local school. It was decided that I should go to that school with him. I became a bit nervous at first. It was a new and unknown world to me. ! did not know how the students would receive me. I had fear about the teachers. But my elder brother and parents encouraged me. They said that I would get playmates of my age at school. The teachers also were affectionate and sincere. Hearing this, I got over my fear and nervousness.

One fine morning my father took me to the school. The school building was very big. I entered the school premises with my father. I saw many boys. Some of them were of my age. The Headmaster knew my father. He received me affectionately. He asked my name and what books I had read at home. Then i found myself fit for class Ill.

I was then admitted to class III. A bearer took me to class III room. There were many boys of my age there. The class teacher asked my name. He affectionately asked me some questions. Fortunately, I answered these correctly. There were two more periods of work before the tiffin period. In the mean time, I had talks with a few boys. They received me gladly. During the tiffin period, I played with the boys. Then I began to love my school mates. The school broke up at 2.00 p.m. The boys were going out of the school with hue and cry. It was a new experience to me. I also accompanied them. My father was waiting for me anxiously. He took me home. On our way home I told him about my good impression. He became glad to hear that.

However, my first day at school was an important and memorable day to me. It was beginning of my new life. I still remember that day with a heavenly pleasure.
