Parul was a schoolgirl whose parents were landless. They were unable to bear her educational expenses. But Parul was determined to continue her study at any cost. So, she decided to take her fate into her own hands rather than giving up on her dreams.

She began her journey by searching for work that would fit around her school hours. After walking from shop to shop, she finally got herself employed in a department store where she had to work from 3 pm to 8 pm every evening. While her classmates went home to rest or play, Parul spent those hours helping customers and organizing shelves. Despite the physical exhaustion, she never complained because she knew this job was the bridge to her future.

With the money she earned, the girl got herself admitted into a college. Her life became a cycle of relentless hard work. She studied heart and soul, though she did not have an adequate amount of time to spend on her books during the day. Returning home from the store late at night, she would sit down with her textbooks and study until midnight. She was nourishing a deep-seated dream of becoming a doctor so she could serve the poor people of her village who lacked medical care.

Her perseverance eventually bore fruit. She passed the HSC Examination, securing an impressive GPA-5. Her parents, who once worried they couldn't even buy her pens, became very happy and proud to see their daughter's outstanding result. In the meantime, seeing his daughter's dedication, her father had managed to save some money for her higher education by working extra hours in others' fields. He sent Parul to Dhaka with that money so that she could prepare herself by attending a medical admission support center.

In the big city, Parul stayed in a tiny room and focused entirely on the upcoming challenge. At last, her hard work and prayers were answered when she succeeded in gaining admission to Dhaka Medical College. As soon as the news reached her parents, their joys knew no bounds, and the entire village celebrated her success. Parul has become a shining example of what people with financial constraints can achieve through grit and willpower.

Moral: Firm determination helps an individual reach his or her goal.

পারুল ছিল একজন স্কুলছাত্রী যার বাবা-মা ছিলেন ভূমিহীন। তারা তার পড়াশোনার খরচ বহন করতে পারছিলেন না। কিন্তু পারুল যেকোনো মূল্যে তার পড়াশোনা চালিয়ে যেতে দৃঢ়প্রতিজ্ঞ ছিল। তাই সে অন্যের ওপর নির্ভর না করে নিজের ভাগ্য নিজে গড়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল।

সে এমন একটি কাজের সন্ধান করতে শুরু করল যা তার স্কুলের সময়ের সাথে মানিয়ে যায়। শহরের বিভিন্ন দোকানে ঘোরার পর অবশেষে সে একটি ডিপার্টমেন্টাল স্টোরে চাকরি পেল যেখানে তাকে প্রতিদিন দুপুর ৩টা থেকে রাত ৮টা পর্যন্ত কাজ করতে হতো। যখন তার সহপাঠীরা বাড়িতে বিশ্রাম নিত বা খেলাধুলা করত, পারুল তখন ক্রেতাদের সাহায্য করে এবং তাক সাজিয়ে সময় পার করত। শারীরিক ক্লান্তি সত্ত্বেও সে কখনো অভিযোগ করেনি কারণ সে জানত এই চাকরিটিই তার ভবিষ্যতের পথ।

নিজের উপার্জিত অর্থ দিয়ে মেয়েটি একটি কলেজে ভর্তি হলো। তার জীবন হয়ে উঠল নিরলস পরিশ্রমের এক গল্প। সে তার সমস্ত প্রাণ দিয়ে পড়াশোনা করত, যদিও দিনের বেলা পড়ার জন্য তার পর্যাপ্ত সময় ছিল না। স্টোর থেকে রাতে বাড়ি ফিরে সে মধ্যরাত পর্যন্ত পড়াশোনা করত কারণ সে মনে মনে ডাক্তার হওয়ার স্বপ্ন লালন করছিল যাতে সে তার গ্রামের দরিদ্র মানুষদের সেবা করতে পারে।

তার এই অধ্যবসায় অবশেষে সফল হলো। সে জিপিএ-৫ পেয়ে এইচএসসি পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হলো। তার বাবা-মা, যারা একসময় তার কলম কেনার খরচ দিতেও হিমশিম খেতেন, মেয়ের এই অসামান্য ফলাফল দেখে অত্যন্ত খুশি ও গর্বিত হলেন। ইতিমধ্যে তার বাবা অন্যের জমিতে অতিরিক্ত কাজ করে মেয়ের উচ্চশিক্ষার জন্য কিছু টাকা সঞ্চয় করেছিলেন। তিনি সেই টাকা দিয়ে মেয়েকে ঢাকায় পাঠালেন যাতে সে একটি মেডিকেল কোচিং সেন্টারে ভর্তি হয়ে নিজেকে প্রস্তুত করতে পারে।

বড় শহরে পারুল একটি ছোট ঘরে থাকত এবং সম্পূর্ণ মনোযোগ দিত পড়াশোনায়। অবশেষে তার কঠোর পরিশ্রম ও প্রার্থনা সার্থক হলো যখন সে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজে ভর্তির সুযোগ পেল। এই খবর পাওয়ামাত্রই তার বাবা-মায়ের আনন্দের সীমা রইল না এবং পুরো গ্রাম তার এই সাফল্যে আনন্দিত হলো। পারুল আজ এক উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত যে আর্থিক সীমাবদ্ধতা থাকলেও দৃঢ় ইচ্ছাশক্তি দিয়ে যেকোনো লক্ষ্য অর্জন করা সম্ভব।

Parul, a bright and diligent school girl, faced numerous obstacles in her quest for education. Her parents, being landless, could not afford to bear her educational expenses. Despite these challenges, Parul remained steadfast in her determination to complete her studies. Her academic excellence was evident, as she was the best student in her class. However, she was unable to attend classes regularly, as she had to help her parents with their daily chores, and also tutored a few students in the evening to bear minimum academic expenses.

One day, while Parul was sobbing in the corner of her classroom, one of her teachers found her and gently asked her what was wrong. Initially hesitant, Parul eventually confided in her teacher that she was unable to pay for the registration fee for the SSC exam. Her teacher was impressed by her dedication and quickly brought up the matter with the Headmaster, who graciously waived the registration fee.

Despite facing numerous obstacles, Parul's perseverance paid off when she received her Board Exam results six months later. To her delight, she had achieved a GPA of 5.0! Overcome with emotion, she found herself weeping uncontrollably once again. Her tears were a testament to the fact that where there is a will, there is a way. Despite the numerous challenges she faced, Parul's determination to succeed helped her overcome all obstacles and achieve academic success.
