Chittagong, May 14, 2023: This year's picnic party for Dr. Khastagir Girls’ High School was a thoroughly enjoyable and exciting event. Organized annually by the school authorities, these picnics aim to provide students with a refreshing break from their routine academic life. This year, the picturesque location of Sylhet was chosen for the two-day excursion.

The Headmistress and Assistant Headmistress led the arrangements, with Mr. Kajol Mitra, an associate teacher of Business Studies, acting as the coordinator. The event saw the participation of about 120 students and 25 teachers. Transportation was provided by two reserved buses from Shohag Paribahan.

The majority of the students attending were S.S.C candidates. Their itinerary included visits to the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal and Hazrat Shah Paran, as well as sightseeing at Jaflong and Madhabkunda. To ensure a smooth experience, two cooks were hired to prepare meals for the group. The Deputy Commissioner (D.C.) of Sylhet warmly welcomed the students, arranged for their security, and provided accommodation at the government’s Dak Bungalow.

The picnic concluded with the group's return to Chittagong the following day. Reports indicate that the students were thrilled with the experience, expressing their delight and gratitude. Those unable to join this year have high hopes of participating in future events, especially when they become candidates themselves.

The school authorities have pledged to continue organizing such recreational activities annually, recognizing the positive impact on student morale and well-being.

Plabon, March 13, 2023: Recently, we had the pleasure of participating in a delightful picnic excursion to Sonargaon, a historically significant destination located approximately twenty miles from Dhaka. Accompanied by thirty-four companions, including one of our esteemed teachers, we embarked on our journey with eager anticipation.

Arriving at Sonargaon by bus at 9 a.m., we wasted no time in setting up our campsite and commencing our activities. With Anwar Hossain, renowned for his culinary prowess, leading the charge in the kitchen, preparations for our feast began in earnest. While some of us lent a hand in cooking, others engaged in singing, jesting, and partaking in various games, infusing the atmosphere with laughter and camaraderie.

As the clock struck 2 p.m., the tantalizing aroma of our cooked meal wafted through the air, signaling that lunch was ready. Famished from our morning endeavors, we eagerly savored the hearty meal, satisfying our hunger and replenishing our energy for the adventures that lay ahead.

Following lunch, we embarked on a journey of exploration, immersing ourselves in the rich tapestry of history and heritage that Sonargaon had to offer. The remnants of ancient Bengal's capital stirred within us a sense of reverence and pride, reminding us of our cultural roots and the significance of preserving our past.

As the day drew to a close, we bid farewell to Sonargaon, our hearts brimming with cherished memories of a day well spent in the company of friends amidst the allure of history and nature. Our picnic at Sonargaon will forever hold a special place in our hearts, a testament to the joy and camaraderie that accompanies shared experiences in the embrace of nature's splendor.

An Exhilarating Annual Picnic to Mainamati and BARD Organized by Cumilla Victoria College

Staff Reporter, Cumilla, February 15, 2026: Cumilla Victoria College recently organized its much-anticipated annual picnic for the higher secondary students, offering a wonderful respite from monotonous classroom routines. This year, the organizing committee, headed by the senior vice-principal and coordinated by Professor Rafiqul Islam of the English Department, selected the historic archaeological sites of Mainamati and the lush green campus of the Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD) as the destination.

A total of 350 enthusiastic HSC candidates, accompanied by 30 faculty members, embarked on the journey early in the morning using six reserved AC buses provided by Shyamoli Paribahan. Upon arrival at the BARD complex at 9:30 a.m., the students were greeted by local administrative officers who ensured tight security and hospitality.

The day's itinerary was packed with excitement. Students explored the ancient Buddhist ruins at Salban Vihara, marveling at the terracotta artifacts and deep-rooted historical significance of the region. A team of professional chefs, hired specially for the occasion, prepared a delicious feast featuring traditional biryani and grilled chicken, served in the shaded gardens of the BARD campus. After lunch, an entertaining cultural segment featuring songs, recitation, and a light-hearted raffle draw kept everyone enthralled.

The excursion concluded with a safe return trip to the college premises by evening. The participating students expressed profound joy and gratitude to the college authority, noting that the trip fostered stronger bonds of friendship and created unforgettable memories before their final board examinations.

শ্যামলী পরিবহনের ছয়টি সংরক্ষিত এসি বাসে করে সকালে সাড়ে তিনশ উৎসাহী এইচএসসি পরীক্ষার্থী এবং ৩০ জন শিক্ষক এই ভ্রমণে রওনা দেন। সকাল সাড়ে ৯টায় বার্ড কমপ্লেক্সে পৌঁছানোর পর স্থানীয় প্রশাসনিক কর্মকর্তারা শিক্ষার্থীদের অভ্যর্থনা জানান এবং নিরাপত্তা ও আতিথেয়তা নিশ্চিত করেন।

দিনের কর্মসূচিতে ছিল নানা আয়োজন। শিক্ষার্থীরা শালবন বিহারের প্রাচীন বৌদ্ধ ধ্বংসাবশেষ ঘুরে দেখেন এবং এই অঞ্চলের টেরাকোটা ও ঐতিহাসিক তাৎপর্য দেখে মুগ্ধ হন। এই উপলক্ষে বিশেষভাবে নিযুক্ত পেশাদার রাঁধুনীদের একটি দল বার্ড ক্যাম্পাসের ছায়াঘেরা বাগানে ঐতিহ্যবাহী বিরিয়ানি ও গ্রিল চিকেনের সুস্বাদু ভোজ প্রস্তুত করে। দুপুরের খাবারের পর গান, আবৃত্তি এবং একটি জমজমাট র‍্যাফেল ড্রয়ের সমন্বয়ে গঠিত সাংস্কৃতিক পর্ব সবাইকে মাতিয়ে রাখে।

Annual Picnic of Rajshahi Government City College to Padma Resort

Local Correspondent, Rajshahi, January 20, 2026: The annual picnic of Rajshahi Government City College was held yesterday at the scenic Padma Resort on the banks of the river Padma. More than two hundred students and fifteen teachers joined this joyful day-long excursion to enjoy nature and relax together.

The college authority formed a special picnic committee led by the senior professor of the Bengali department. Three decorated buses started from the college gate at 8:00 a.m. carrying happy students who sang patriotic and folk songs all the way. When the buses reached the resort, the students were amazed by the cool breeze and beautiful river view.

A team of cooks prepared hot and tasty khichuri and beef curry for lunch in the open field. After eating, the students divided into groups to play cricket, badminton, and musical chairs. Some students also enjoyed a safe boat ride on the river with their teachers. In the afternoon, a friendly cultural program took place where talented students performed funny jokes and modern dances.

The picnic ended before sunset, and everyone got back on the buses with tired but happy smiles. The Principal thanked all the teachers and students for maintaining good discipline and making the annual picnic a grand success.

খোলা মাঠে রাঁধুনীদের একটি দল দুপুরের খাবারের জন্য গরম ও সুস্বাদু খিচুড়ি এবং গরুর মাংসের ঝোল রান্না করে। খাওয়ার পর শিক্ষার্থীরা ক্রিকেট, ব্যাডমিন্টন ও মিউজিক্যাল চেয়ার খেলতে দলে ভাগ হয়ে যায়। কিছু শিক্ষার্থী শিক্ষকদের সাথে নদীতে নিরাপদ নৌভ্রমণও উপভোগ করে। বিকেলে একটি বন্ধুসুলভ সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান হয় যেখানে মেধাবী শিক্ষার্থীরা মজার কৌতুক ও আধুনিক নৃত্য পরিবেশন করে।

সূর্যাস্তের আগেই বনভোজন শেষ হয় এবং ক্লান্ত অথচ হাসিমুখ নিয়ে সবাই আবার বাসে ওঠে। ভালো শৃঙ্খলা বজায় রাখা এবং বার্ষিক বনভোজনকে সফল করার জন্য অধ্যক্ষ সব শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীকে ধন্যবাদ জানান।]

Our College Annual Picnic Day

Staff Reporter, Sylhet, February 10, 2026: Yesterday was a very happy day for our college because we went on our annual picnic to a lovely tea garden and park in Sylhet. All the students and teachers gathered at the college compound early in the morning.

We got into four big buses and started our journey at 8:30 a.m. The students clapped and shouted with joy as the buses moved through the green hills. When we reached the park, everyone walked around and took many pictures of the beautiful flowers and tall trees.

At noon, the smell of delicious rice and chicken roast filled the air. Our teachers served the food nicely to everyone. We ate together sitting on the green grass and laughed a lot. After lunch, some students played football while others sang nice songs under the shade of a big tree.

We started our return trip in the evening. Everyone felt very happy and thanked the Principal for organizing such a wonderful picnic. It was a day we will never forget in our student life.

স্টাফ রিপোর্টার, সিলেট, ১০ ফেব্রুয়ারি, ২০২৬: গতকাল আমাদের কলেজের জন্য একটি অত্যন্ত আনন্দের দিন ছিল কারণ আমরা সিলেটের একটি সুন্দর চা বাগান ও পার্কে আমাদের বার্ষিক বনভোজনে গিয়েছিলাম। সকাল সকাল সব শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষক কলেজ প্রাঙ্গণে সমবেত হন।

আমরা চারটি বড় বাসে উঠলাম এবং সকাল সাড়ে ৮টায় আমাদের যাত্রা শুরু করলাম। সবুজ পাহাড়ের মধ্য দিয়ে বাসগুলো যখন যাচ্ছিল, তখন শিক্ষার্থীরা আনন্দে হাততালি দিল ও চিৎকার করল। আমরা যখন পার্কে পৌঁছলাম, তখন সবাই ঘুরে দেখল এবং সুন্দর ফুল ও লম্বা গাছগুলোর অনেক ছবি তুলল।

দুপুরে সুস্বাদু ভাত ও মুরগির রোস্টের গন্ধে চারপাশ ভরে গেল। আমাদের শিক্ষকরা সবাইকে সুন্দর করে খাবার পরিবেশন করলেন। আমরা সবুজ ঘাসের ওপর বসে একসাথে খেলাম এবং অনেক হাসাহাসি করলাম। দুপুরের খাবারের পর কিছু শিক্ষার্থী ফুটবল খেলল আবার অনেকে বড় গাছের ছায়ায় সুন্দর গান গাইল।

সন্ধ্যায় আমরা ফেরার যাত্রা শুরু করলাম। সবাই খুব খুশি হলো এবং এত চমৎকার একটি বনভোজন আয়োজন করার জন্য অধ্যক্ষকে ধন্যবাদ জানাল। আমাদের ছাত্রজীবনে এই দিনটি আমরা কখনো ভুলব না।]
