On an Imaginary Situation

On one evening I was sitting in a chair and thinking in a propound mood. Suddenly I went into world of imagination. I was thinking about an imaginary journey by train where I thought myself as a Bagalee teacher with an Englishman in the same compartment.

The Englishman was a doctor. The English gentleman was very proud of his riches. He felt insulted, as I was his journey companion. I was not rich as he was. But I have the moral value of real education. He did not like me at all. So he tried to find chance to despise me. But I know who I am and what can I do? I am not ashamed of my poverty and being a Banglee. Once he threw my shoes outside the train. I felt insulted and got shock from it. So I took an oath to take revenge. But he was not getting the chance. Suddenly the Englishman could not but respond to the call of nature. He took off his hat and put it on the seat beside me. I thought it was the time to take revenge on the English gentleman.

I threw the hat through the window of the train. Coming back from the toilet, the Englishman was looking for his hat. But he could not find it anywhere. So, he asked me,” Where is my hat?” I replied, “It has gone to bring my shoes.”

Suddenly I was awakened from the world of imagination. And the imaginary situation still makes me laugh even which can never be forgotten

The Bad Man and the Sadhu

Once, a man went to a sadhu (holy man) with two difficult questions. He asked, “Why do people say God is everywhere? I don’t see Him anywhere, so show me where He is.” Then he asked, “Why is man punished for crimes, if he is not a free agent, but made to do as God wishes?”

The sadhu did not answer the questions directly. Instead, he picked up a lump of earth and threw it at the man's head. The man was hurt and shocked. He went straight to the judge and complained, “This sadhu hit me on the head with a lump of earth, causing me pain.”

The judge, hearing the complaint, had the sadhu brought to court. As the sadhu stood in front of the judge, the judge asked, "Why did you throw a lump of earth at this man instead of answering his questions?"

The sadhu replied calmly, “The pain he feels in his head is the answer to his first question. He says there is pain in his head, but he cannot show me the pain. Similarly, he cannot show me God. He also complains about what I did, but according to his own words, my action was something done by God. If everything happens according to God's will, why is he blaming me for this?”

The judge was impressed with the sadhu’s wise reply. He understood the point the sadhu was making. The judge then dismissed the case, and the man, though sad, left the court much wiser than before.

Moral: Sometimes, we ask difficult questions or blame others for things beyond our understanding. The answers to life’s questions are often hidden in simple experiences, and we must look carefully to understand them.

আলী বাবা এবং চল্লিশ চোর

একসময়, আলী বাবা নামে একজন দরিদ্র কাঠুরে থাকতেন। তিনি একটি বিশাল মরুভূমির ধারে একটি ছোট্ট গ্রামে থাকতেন। একদিন, আলী বাবা যখন বনে কাঠ কাটছিলেন, তখন তিনি পাহাড়ের একটি গুহার দিকে চল্লিশজন ডাকাতকে ছুটে যেতে দেখলেন। ডাকাতরা ধন-সম্পদ বহন করে নিয়ে যাচ্ছিল, এবং তারা খুব শক্তিশালী বলে মনে হচ্ছিল। তারা গুহার প্রবেশপথে থামল, এবং ডাকাতদের নেতা একটি জাদুকরী বাক্যাংশ বলল, "তিল খোলো!" গুহার দরজা খুলে গেল, এবং ডাকাতরা ভেতরে ঢুকে গেল, ভেতরে অদৃশ্য হয়ে গেল।

আলী বাবা কয়েকটি ব্যাগ ভর্তি ধন নিয়ে দ্রুত বাড়ি ফিরে গেলেন, তার আবিষ্কার গোপন রেখে। তিনি কাউকে না বলার জন্য সতর্ক ছিলেন, বিশেষ করে তার লোভী ভাই কাসিমকে। কিন্তু কাসিম, তার ভাইয়ের অদ্ভুত আচরণ লক্ষ্য করে, কী ঘটেছে তা জানার জন্য জোর দিয়েছিলেন। অবশেষে আলী বাবা তাকে গুহার রহস্য এবং জাদুকরী শব্দগুলি বলেছিলেন।

আলী বাবা যখন ঘটনাটি জানতে পারেন, তখন তিনি তার ভাইয়ের মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করতে গুহায় যান। সে কাসিমকে কবর দিয়ে বাড়ি ফিরে আসে, কিন্তু ডাকাতরা শীঘ্রই বুঝতে পারে যে অন্য কেউ তাদের গোপন রহস্য আবিষ্কার করেছে। তারা আলী বাবাকে ধরে ধন ফিরিয়ে নেওয়ার পরিকল্পনা করে।

ডাকাতরা আলী বাবাকে বাড়িতে অনুসরণ করে, কিন্তু আলী বাবার চালাক দাসী মর্গিয়ানা তাদের কৌশল বুঝতে পারে এবং আলী বাবাকে সতর্ক করে। শেষ পর্যন্ত, মর্গিয়ানা ডাকাতদের সাথে প্রতারণা করে আলী বাবার জীবন রক্ষা করে। ডাকাতদের পরাজিত হওয়ার পর, আলী বাবা ধনটি রেখেছিলেন এবং সুখে বসবাস করেছিলেন।

নীতি: লোভ বিপজ্জনক পরিণতি ডেকে আনতে পারে, কিন্তু বুদ্ধিমত্তা, দয়া এবং সাহসিকতা চ্যালেঞ্জগুলি কাটিয়ে উঠতে সাহায্য করতে পারে।
