Asma’s Determination and Success

Asma, a village girl from a conservative Muslim family, was eagerly waiting for her SSC results. She had big dreams—to study in college and become a teacher in the future. However, her parents did not support her ambition. They believed that higher education was unnecessary for a girl and wanted to arrange her marriage instead.

Despite their disapproval, Asma was determined to achieve her goal. Her cousin, Mr. Habib, who was a teacher, assured her that he would help if her parents refused to support her education.

A few weeks later, Asma’s SSC results were published, and she passed with excellent marks. Mr. Habib was overjoyed at her success, but her parents remained firm in their decision to marry her off. Asma, however, refused to give up. Seeing her strong will, Mr. Habib took responsibility for her education and covered all her expenses.

With his support, Asma got admitted into a reputed college in the Upazila headquarters. She worked hard and successfully passed her HSC examination. After two more years of dedication and effort, she earned her B.A. degree. Determined to fulfill her dream, she then pursued and completed her B.Ed. degree, qualifying herself as a teacher.

Finally, Asma joined the high school in her village as an assistant teacher. Over time, she brought positive changes to her family’s financial condition and became a respected figure in her community. Her passion and dedication inspired many young girls to pursue education despite societal restrictions. In her later years, she became a famous teacher, known for her wisdom and kindness.

Asma’s story proves the importance of female education. Early marriage deprives girls of their potential and must be banned. We need an educated female society to bring real change and development to our nation.
