A Saint and an Ungrateful Mouse

There lived a saint in a forest. He was very kind. Once a mouse ran to him and took shelter in his lap. The mouse was trembling with fear because a cat attacked it. The saint felt pity for the poor mouse. He turned the mouse into a big cat. The cat was trembling with fear to see the big cat and ran away. The mouse became very happy and began to live in the hut of the saint.

After a few days while it was looking for food a dog attacked the cat. The cat became afraid and ran to the saint. The dog had chased (%-M ~-qt) the cat. The saint saw everything. He turned the cat into a tiger. The dog saw the tiger and went away. The tiger began to live in the forest without any fear. He thought that he was the king of the forest.

On a rainy day the tiger had no food. He could not catch any animal for his food. In the evening he was very hungry. So, he attacked the saint to eat him.

The saint became surprised. He understood that the tiger had forgotten his past. So, it would not be wise to give him chances any more. He at once turned the ungrateful tiger into a mouse again.

Feeling pity for the poor creature, the saint used his powers to turn the mouse into a big cat. The frightened cat ran away, and the mouse-turned-cat felt safe and happy in the saint’s hut.

A few days later, while searching for food, the cat was attacked by a fierce dog. Terrified, it ran back to the saint for help. Seeing its fear, the saint transformed the cat into a tiger. The dog, now afraid of the mighty beast, ran away. The tiger, once a helpless mouse, began to roam the forest proudly, believing himself to be the king of the jungle.

As time passed, the tiger became arrogant and forgot his past. One rainy day, he struggled to find food. Hunger made him desperate, and in the evening, he turned towards the saint, thinking of attacking and eating him.

The saint was shocked at the tiger’s ingratitude. Realizing that kindness had been wasted on an ungrateful heart, he decided not to give him another chance. With a single command, he turned the tiger back into a tiny mouse.

Moral: Ingratitude leads to downfall. One must always remember and respect the kindness they receive.
