These days the book fair has become very much popular. It has created a sense of interest for books among us. In a book fair hundreds of pavilions are set up. Miscellaneous books, fictions, textbook, dramas, children books, reference books etc. are displayed in a shop. The stalls are well decorated which enchant the mind of customers. There are also food and drink stalls. The tired customers take rest and refreshment there. The whole atmosphere wears a beautiful look. The main purpose of a book fair is not sale but it offers a rare opportunity to assess the advancement made in publication of books. It is heartening to see thousands of people coming to the fair and buying books according to their own interest. A book fair becomes crowded especially in the evening. Both male and female customers gather in a book fair. The writers also visit the fair regularly and sit in some stalls. Seminars and cultural programmes are also held in a book fair. A book fair bears the testimony of the refined culture of a country. A book fair reminds us that books are our best comrades. They can change our outlook of life and widen our domain of wisdom. It is book, which assists us to forget jealousy, malice, superstition and covetousness. After all, we get our most advantages from a book fair and that is why we should purchase book from a book fair or from a bookstall. বর্তমানে বইমেলা অত্যন্ত জনপ্রিয় হয়ে উঠেছে। এটি আমাদের মধ্যে বইয়ের প্রতি আগ্রহ সৃষ্টি করেছে। একটি বইমেলায় শত শত প্যাভিলিয়ন স্থাপন করা হয়। বিভিন্ন ধরনের বই, যেমন—উপন্যাস, পাঠ্যবই, নাটক, শিশুতোষ বই, তথ্যগ্রন্থ ইত্যাদি দোকানে প্রদর্শন করা হয়। স্টলগুলো সুন্দরভাবে সজ্জিত করা হয়, যা ক্রেতাদের মনকে আকৃষ্ট করে। এখানে খাবার ও পানীয়ের স্টলও থাকে। ক্লান্ত ক্রেতারা সেখানে বিশ্রাম ও সতেজতা লাভ করেন। সমগ্র পরিবেশ একটি মনোরম রূপ ধারণ করে। বইমেলার প্রধান উদ্দেশ্য বই বিক্রি করা নয়; বরং এটি বই প্রকাশনার ক্ষেত্রে অর্জিত অগ্রগতি মূল্যায়নের একটি বিরল সুযোগ প্রদান করে। হাজার হাজার মানুষ মেলায় এসে নিজেদের পছন্দ অনুযায়ী বই কিনছে—এ দৃশ্য অত্যন্ত আনন্দদায়ক। বিশেষ করে সন্ধ্যায় বইমেলা অত্যন্ত জনাকীর্ণ হয়ে ওঠে। বইমেলায় নারী-পুরুষ উভয় ধরনের ক্রেতার সমাগম ঘটে। লেখকরাও নিয়মিত মেলা পরিদর্শন করেন এবং বিভিন্ন স্টলে বসেন। বইমেলায় সেমিনার ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানও অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। একটি বইমেলা একটি দেশের পরিশীলিত সংস্কৃতির পরিচয় বহন করে। বইমেলা আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় যে বই আমাদের শ্রেষ্ঠ সঙ্গী। বই আমাদের জীবন সম্পর্কে দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি পরিবর্তন করতে পারে এবং আমাদের জ্ঞানের পরিধি বিস্তৃত করতে পারে। বই-ই আমাদের হিংসা, বিদ্বেষ, কুসংস্কার ও লোভ ভুলে যেতে সহায়তা করে। সর্বোপরি, আমরা বইমেলা থেকে অনেক উপকার লাভ করি; তাই আমাদের বইমেলা বা বইয়ের দোকান থেকে বই কেনা উচিত। একটি বইমেলা একটি দেশের পরিশীলিত সংস্কৃতির পরিচয় বহন করে। একটি বই আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয় যে বই আমাদের শ্রেষ্ঠ সঙ্গী।

Besides, the famous book publishers also organize book fairs every. year. A book fair usually lasts for a week or even a month. Hundreds of book publishers and book sellers take part in the Ekushe book fair. The stalls sits in rows They are decorated nicely. Books on various branches both in Bangla and English are displayed and sold here. The, ,book lovers and the readers gather in a book fair. It is a large gathering - of students, teachers and educated people, sometimes scholars, writers and poets also visit a book fair. Seminars on books are also held here. Folk songs are also sung in a book fair. A book fair is an important part of education. Bangla Academy Book Fair

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a book fair held at the Bangla Academy campus, an experience that left an indelible mark on me. As I arrived around 5 pm, I was greeted by the sight of the beautifully decorated main gate, signaling the excitement within. Inside, the vast premises housed around three hundred book stalls, each adorned with a plethora of literary treasures from different publishing houses. The diversity of genres and topics on display was staggering, catering to the varied interests of readers. Amidst the bustling crowd, I wandered through the aisles, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and feeling a sense of camaraderie with fellow book enthusiasts. It was heartening to see people of all ages, from children to adults, coming together to celebrate the written word. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to meet renowned poets and novelists, whose works had left a lasting impact on me. Additionally, I couldn't resist indulging in some literary shopping, and I left the fair with five new books, eager to delve into their pages. However, beyond the thrill of making purchases, the true essence of the book fair lay in the celebration of literature itself. It was a platform for publishers to showcase their latest offerings and for readers to discover new voices and perspectives. With participation from esteemed publishers like the National Book Center, Jupiter Publication, and Bangla Academy, the fair truly encapsulated the spirit of literary excellence. Rubbing shoulders with literary luminaries like Mr. Anisul Haque, Humayun Ahmed, Jafar Iqbal, and Imdadul Haque Milan only added to the richness of the experience, leaving me inspired and invigorated in my love for books.

বাংলা একাডেমি বইমেলা

(বইমেলা এমন একটি আনন্দঘন ও আকাঙ্ক্ষিত আয়োজন, যা পাঠক ও প্রকাশকদের একত্রিত করে এবং সাহিত্য ও জ্ঞানচর্চার প্রতি ভালোবাসা বৃদ্ধি করে। সম্প্রতি আমার বাংলা একাডেমি প্রাঙ্গণে অনুষ্ঠিত একটি বইমেলায় যাওয়ার সুযোগ হয়েছিল। এটি ছিল এমন এক অভিজ্ঞতা, যা আমার মনে চিরস্থায়ী ছাপ ফেলেছে। বিকেল প্রায় পাঁচটার দিকে আমি মেলায় পৌঁছাই। সেখানে সুন্দরভাবে সজ্জিত প্রধান ফটক দেখে আমি মুগ্ধ হই, যা মেলার ভেতরের উৎসবমুখর পরিবেশের আভাস দিচ্ছিল। মেলার ভেতরে বিশাল প্রাঙ্গণজুড়ে প্রায় তিনশটি বইয়ের স্টল ছিল। প্রতিটি স্টল বিভিন্ন প্রকাশনা প্রতিষ্ঠানের অসংখ্য মূল্যবান ও আকর্ষণীয় বই দিয়ে সাজানো ছিল। প্রদর্শিত বইয়ের বিষয় ও বৈচিত্র্য ছিল বিস্ময়কর, যা বিভিন্ন রুচি ও আগ্রহের পাঠকদের চাহিদা পূরণ করছিল। ব্যস্ত জনসমাগমের মধ্যে আমি এক স্টল থেকে অন্য স্টলে ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছিলাম এবং প্রাণবন্ত পরিবেশ উপভোগ করছিলাম। একই সঙ্গে অন্যান্য বইপ্রেমীর সঙ্গে আমার এক ধরনের আত্মিক বন্ধন অনুভূত হচ্ছিল। শিশু থেকে শুরু করে প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক পর্যন্ত সব বয়সের মানুষকে বই ও সাহিত্যের প্রতি ভালোবাসা উদ্‌যাপনের জন্য একত্রিত হতে দেখে আমি অত্যন্ত আনন্দিত হয়েছিলাম। আমার এই সফরের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ ছিল খ্যাতিমান কবি ও ঔপন্যাসিকদের সঙ্গে সাক্ষাতের সুযোগ লাভ করা, যাঁদের রচনা আমার মনে গভীর ও দীর্ঘস্থায়ী প্রভাব ফেলেছে। এছাড়াও কিছু বই কেনার লোভ সামলাতে পারিনি এবং পাঁচটি নতুন বই নিয়ে মেলা থেকে বের হই। বইগুলোর পাতা উল্টে পড়ার জন্য আমি অধীর আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করছিলাম। তবে বই কেনার আনন্দের বাইরেও বইমেলার প্রকৃত তাৎপর্য নিহিত ছিল সাহিত্যের উদ্‌যাপনের মধ্যে। এটি প্রকাশকদের জন্য তাঁদের সর্বশেষ প্রকাশনাগুলো পাঠকদের সামনে তুলে ধরার এবং পাঠকদের জন্য নতুন লেখক ও নতুন চিন্তাধারার সঙ্গে পরিচিত হওয়ার একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মঞ্চ। জাতীয় গ্রন্থকেন্দ্র, জুপিটার পাবলিকেশন এবং বাংলা একাডেমির মতো সম্মানিত প্রকাশনা প্রতিষ্ঠানের অংশগ্রহণে মেলাটি সত্যিই সাহিত্যিক উৎকর্ষের চেতনাকে ধারণ করেছিল। আনিসুল হক, হুমায়ূন আহমেদ, জাফর ইকবাল এবং ইমদাদুল হক মিলনের মতো খ্যাতিমান সাহিত্যিকদের সান্নিধ্য লাভ আমার অভিজ্ঞতাকে আরও সমৃদ্ধ করেছিল। সবশেষে, বইয়ের প্রতি আমার ভালোবাসা আরও গভীর ও অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে আমি মেলা থেকে ফিরে আসি।)

A fair is a collection of outdoor entertainment, stalls etc. on a large piece of open ground where a huge number of people gather and enjoy themselves. In other words, a fair can be defined as an exhibition of different types of products. Similarly a book fair is an exhibition of hundreds of thousands of books. In a book fair books on different subjects are systematically displayed for the attention of the readers. Recently I visited a book fair. It was held on the premises of the Bangla Academy. I went there with my parents. In the fair, I saw hundreds of bookstalls selling them displaying different types of books. Almost all of the bookstalls were arranged by different famous publications of the country. A few bookstalls were also organised by some leading cultural organisations of the country. As it was evening, there was a huge rush of crowd in the fair. Even it was difficult to walk freely at that hour. I along with my parents went to a number of bookstalls and bought some books. I also attended a seminar organised by the Bangla Academy. After passing some hours there we started for home just after the sunset. It was a nice experience for me which will remain long in my mind.

A visit to a book fair is an exciting and enriching experience that I recently had the pleasure of enjoying. It's a special event where many different kinds of books are displayed for people to explore and enjoy. This year, I was lucky enough to go to the Ekushe Boi Mela with some friends. When we arrived, I was amazed by the sight of so many books spread out before us. There were books of all types – stories, textbooks, plays, books for kids, and more. People from all walks of life, young and old, were there to check out the books. It seemed like everyone was eager to find something interesting to read. We visited different stalls run by different publishers, each offering a unique selection of books. I found some books by my favorite authors and couldn't wait to start reading them. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, especially with the presence of famous writers and poets. What I enjoyed most was that the book fair wasn't just about books. There were also seminars and cultural programs happening throughout the evening. One play about the Language Movement of 1952 left a lasting impression on me. We spent about three hours at the book fair, soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying every moment of it. As we headed home later that evening, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the experience. The excitement and passion for literature at the book fair were truly inspiring, and I know that the memories of this special day will stay with me for a long time.

(বইমেলা পরিদর্শন একটি আনন্দদায়ক ও জ্ঞানবর্ধক অভিজ্ঞতা, যা সম্প্রতি আমার লাভ করার সৌভাগ্য হয়েছিল। এটি এমন একটি বিশেষ আয়োজন, যেখানে বিভিন্ন ধরনের বই প্রদর্শন করা হয় এবং মানুষ সেগুলো দেখার ও উপভোগ করার সুযোগ পায়। এ বছর কয়েকজন বন্ধুর সঙ্গে আমার একুশে বইমেলায় যাওয়ার সৌভাগ্য হয়েছিল। আমরা সেখানে পৌঁছানোর পর চারদিকে এত বই দেখে আমি বিস্মিত হয়ে যাই। সেখানে বিভিন্ন ধরনের বই ছিল—গল্পের বই, পাঠ্যবই, নাটকের বই, শিশুদের বই এবং আরও অনেক কিছু। সমাজের বিভিন্ন শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষ, ছোট-বড় সবাই বই দেখার জন্য সেখানে উপস্থিত হয়েছিল। মনে হচ্ছিল, সবাই নিজের পছন্দের কোনো আকর্ষণীয় বই খুঁজে পাওয়ার জন্য অধীর আগ্রহে অপেক্ষা করছে। আমরা বিভিন্ন প্রকাশনা প্রতিষ্ঠানের পরিচালিত বিভিন্ন স্টল ঘুরে দেখলাম। প্রতিটি স্টলেই ছিল স্বতন্ত্র ও বৈচিত্র্যময় বইয়ের সমাহার। আমি আমার প্রিয় কয়েকজন লেখকের কিছু বই খুঁজে পেলাম এবং সেগুলো পড়ার জন্য অধীর হয়ে উঠলাম। বিখ্যাত লেখক ও কবিদের উপস্থিতিতে মেলার পরিবেশ ছিল অত্যন্ত প্রাণবন্ত ও উৎসবমুখর। আমার সবচেয়ে ভালো লেগেছিল যে, বইমেলা শুধু বইকেন্দ্রিক ছিল না; সেখানে সন্ধ্যাজুড়ে বিভিন্ন সেমিনার ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানেরও আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। ১৯৫২ সালের ভাষা আন্দোলনের ওপর পরিবেশিত একটি নাটক আমার মনে গভীর ছাপ ফেলেছিল। আমরা প্রায় তিন ঘণ্টা বইমেলায় অবস্থান করি এবং সেখানকার মনোরম পরিবেশ উপভোগ করতে করতে প্রতিটি মুহূর্ত আনন্দের সঙ্গে কাটাই। সেদিন সন্ধ্যায় বাড়ি ফেরার সময় এই সুন্দর অভিজ্ঞতার জন্য আমি নিজেকে অত্যন্ত ভাগ্যবান মনে করছিলাম। বইমেলায় সাহিত্য ও বইয়ের প্রতি মানুষের উৎসাহ ও ভালোবাসা আমাকে সত্যিই অনুপ্রাণিত করেছিল। আমি জানি, এই বিশেষ দিনের স্মৃতি দীর্ঘদিন আমার মনে অম্লান হয়ে থাকবে।)

In contemporary times, this cultural phenomenon has surged in popularity, resulting in a multitude of book fairs held annually across the country. Of these fairs, two main events, the Ekushe Boi Mela and Dhaka Boi Mela, are widely recognized. It was my great fortune to have attended the Ekushe Boi Mela this year, accompanied by a group of friends.Upon entering the main gate, a sprawling landscape of books unfurled before me. Fictional literature, textbooks, dramas, children's literature, reference books, and much more lined the shelves, attracting a diverse range of visitors, from all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Notably, young adults, in particular, converged in large numbers to procure their preferred selections. The stalls were presided over by various publishers, each vying for the attention of discerning readers. From one such stall, I procured a number of books authored by some of my favorite writers. The evening was graced by the presence of esteemed poets, novelists, and writers, who added to the already vibrant ambiance of the event. It was a thrill to discover that the book fair had extended its offerings beyond the literary realm, with seminars and cultural programs being hosted throughout the evening. One such program, a staged drama based on the Language Movement of 1952, left an indelible impression on me. My visit to the book fair lasted approximately three hours, during which I savored every moment of the experience. As I journeyed back home in the late evening, I reflected upon how deeply moved I was by the atmosphere of intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm that permeated the event. I left the fair feeling utterly elated, secure in the knowledge that the memories of this remarkable celebration of literature will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Recently, I had the pleasure of attending a book fair held at the Bangla Academy campus, an experience that left an indelible mark on me. As I arrived around 5 pm, I was greeted by the sight of the beautifully decorated main gate, signaling the excitement within. Inside, the vast premises housed around three hundred book stalls, each adorned with a plethora of literary treasures from different publishing houses. The diversity of genres and topics on display was staggering, catering to the varied interests of readers. Amidst the bustling crowd, I wandered through the aisles, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and feeling a sense of camaraderie with fellow book enthusiasts. It was heartening to see people of all ages, from children to adults, coming together to celebrate the written word. One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to meet renowned poets and novelists, whose works had left a lasting impact on me. Additionally, I couldn't resist indulging in some literary shopping, and I left the fair with five new books, eager to delve into their pages. However, beyond the thrill of making purchases, the true essence of the book fair lay in the celebration of literature itself. It was a platform for publishers to showcase their latest offerings and for readers to discover new voices and perspectives. With participation from esteemed publishers like the National Book Center, Jupiter Publication, and Bangla Academy, the fair truly encapsulated the spirit of literary excellence. Rubbing shoulders with literary luminaries like Mr. Anisul Haque, Humayun Ahmed, Jafar Iqbal, and Imdadul Haque Milan only added to the richness of the experience, leaving me inspired and invigorated in my love for books.

আমার একটি বইমেলা পরিদর্শন

(বইমেলা সাহিত্যপ্রেমীদের বহুল প্রতীক্ষিত একটি আয়োজন, যেখানে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ও বিভিন্ন বিষয়ের বই সাধারণ পাঠকদের দেখার ও কেনার জন্য প্রদর্শন করা হয়। আমার মতো বইপ্রেমী মানুষের কাছে বইমেলা জ্ঞান, অনুপ্রেরণা ও বিনোদনের এক অপূর্ব ভাণ্ডার। বর্তমান সময়ে এই সাংস্কৃতিক আয়োজনটি ব্যাপক জনপ্রিয়তা লাভ করেছে এবং প্রতিবছর সারা দেশে অসংখ্য বইমেলার আয়োজন করা হয়। এসব মেলার মধ্যে একুশে বইমেলা ও ঢাকা বইমেলা বিশেষভাবে উল্লেখযোগ্য। এ বছর একদল বন্ধুর সঙ্গে একুশে বইমেলায় যাওয়ার সৌভাগ্য আমার হয়েছিল। মেলার প্রধান ফটক দিয়ে প্রবেশ করতেই আমার চোখের সামনে বইয়ের এক বিশাল সমারোহ ভেসে উঠল। উপন্যাস, পাঠ্যবই, নাটক, শিশুতোষ বই, তথ্যবহুল বই এবং আরও নানা ধরনের বইয়ের সমারোহ ছিল সেখানে। বিভিন্ন বয়স ও আর্থ-সামাজিক শ্রেণির মানুষ বইমেলায় এসেছিল। বিশেষ করে তরুণ-তরুণীদের তাদের পছন্দের বই সংগ্রহের জন্য বিপুল সংখ্যায় সমবেত হতে দেখা গেল। বিভিন্ন প্রকাশনা প্রতিষ্ঠানের পরিচালনায় অসংখ্য স্টল স্থাপন করা হয়েছিল এবং প্রতিটি প্রকাশক আগ্রহী পাঠকদের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণের চেষ্টা করছিলেন। একটি স্টল থেকে আমি আমার প্রিয় কয়েকজন লেখকের লেখা বেশ কিছু বই কিনলাম। সন্ধ্যায় বিশিষ্ট কবি, ঔপন্যাসিক ও লেখকদের উপস্থিতিতে মেলার প্রাণবন্ত পরিবেশ আরও আকর্ষণীয় হয়ে উঠেছিল। বইমেলার আয়োজন যে শুধু সাহিত্যকেন্দ্রিক ছিল না, তা জেনে আমি আরও আনন্দিত হই। সন্ধ্যাজুড়ে সেখানে বিভিন্ন সেমিনার ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল। এসব অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্যে ১৯৫২ সালের ভাষা আন্দোলনের ওপর ভিত্তি করে মঞ্চস্থ একটি নাটক আমার মনে গভীর ও অমোচনীয় ছাপ ফেলেছিল। বইমেলায় আমার পরিদর্শন প্রায় তিন ঘণ্টা স্থায়ী হয়েছিল এবং এ সময় আমি প্রতিটি মুহূর্ত অত্যন্ত আনন্দের সঙ্গে উপভোগ করেছি। গভীর রাতে বাড়ি ফেরার পথে আমি ভাবছিলাম, মেলার জ্ঞানান্বেষী ও উৎসাহপূর্ণ পরিবেশ আমাকে কতটা গভীরভাবে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে। মেলা থেকে ফিরে আমার মন ছিল অত্যন্ত আনন্দে পরিপূর্ণ। সাহিত্য উদ্‌যাপনের এই অসাধারণ আয়োজনের স্মৃতি যে চিরকাল আমার হৃদয়ে বিশেষ স্থান দখল করে থাকবে, সে বিষয়ে আমার কোনো সন্দেহ নেই।)

Visiting is a book fair is a great part of education. Educated people are very fond of visiting a book fair to widen and enrich knowledge. So at present a book fair has become very popular in our developing country. Every year, a book fair is held almost in all big cities and towns on some special occasions. I have a great thirst for promoting my knowledge. So I am very fond of visiting book fairs and reading and buying books. This time too I have visited the Amar Ekushey book fair. It was organized by the Bangla Academy on its ground. I visited the rich book fair with my elder brother who is Bangla teacher as well as a freedom fighter of our Liberation War. Hundreds of book stalls were decorated nicely in rows I could find books on various branches both in Bangla and English in the fair. I went round the whole vast area of the fair. Men, women and children of all classes gathered the book fair. Really, it was a huge gathering of books lovers and readers. I also met many students of my own age there. I attended a seminar of publishers, writers and poets in the fair. Everybody in the book fair was busy in buying and reading books. I also bought some valuable books on computer and English Language. Visiting a book fair has a great educative value. It helps to build up the habit of reading, writing and buying books. It removes the monotony of routine life and widens our outlook. So every educated person and every student should visit every book fair to broaden his knowledge. It is true that a student can't make a good result only by reading text books.

Visiting a book fair holds immense educational value as it fosters the habit of reading, writing, and book acquisition. It breaks the monotony of our daily routines and broadens our horizons. Therefore, it is essential for every educated individual and student to visit book fairs to enhance their knowledge. A book fair is a very wonderful place where many different types of books are displayed and sold. Last month, I visited the famous Ekushe Boi Mela in Dhaka with some of my close friends. We went there in the afternoon. When we entered the fair, I was very surprised and happy to see so many books in one place. There were hundreds of stalls decorated beautifully with colored lights, banners, and flowers. We saw books of all kinds, like storybooks, poems, novels, religious books, and picture books for small children. Many people, including men, women, and children, came to visit the fair. They were walking happily from one stall to another, reading book covers, and buying their favorite books. I visited the stalls of different publishers and bought two storybooks and one science book. The whole place was full of joy and excitement. We also saw some famous writers sitting in their stalls, signing books, and talking to the readers. In the evening, we sat down to enjoy a nice cultural program. Some people sang beautiful songs, and some recited poems about our country. We also ate some delicious snacks from a food stall. We stayed at the fair for about three hours. It was a very happy and special day for me. I came back home with a happy heart and some great books. I will never forget the sweet memories of my visit to the book fair.

একটি বইমেলা

বইমেলা একটি আনন্দময় ও মনোরম আয়োজন, যেখানে সাধারণ মানুষের জন্য বিভিন্ন ধরনের বই প্রদর্শন ও বিক্রি করা হয়। এটি মানুষের জ্ঞান ও প্রজ্ঞা বৃদ্ধির পাশাপাশি বই পড়ার প্রতি তাদের ভালোবাসা ও আগ্রহকে লালন করার একটি চমৎকার সুযোগ সৃষ্টি করে। আমাদের উন্নয়নশীল দেশে শিক্ষিত মানুষের মধ্যে বইমেলা ব্যাপক জনপ্রিয়তা অর্জন করেছে। জ্ঞানপিপাসু ও সচেতন মানুষ নিজেদের জ্ঞান ও মননকে সমৃদ্ধ করার উদ্দেশ্যে আগ্রহভরে বইমেলায় অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

একটি বইমেলায় বিভিন্ন ধরনের ও বিষয়ের বইয়ের বিপুল সমাহার দেখা যায়। বাংলা ও ইংরেজি উভয় ভাষাতেই সাহিত্যের বই থেকে শুরু করে বিজ্ঞান, ইতিহাস, কবিতা প্রভৃতি নানা বিষয়ের বই পাওয়া যায়। ফলে শিশু-কিশোর থেকে শুরু করে সাধারণ পাঠক, শিক্ষার্থী, শিক্ষক ও গবেষক—সবার জন্যই বইমেলায় পছন্দের বই খুঁজে পাওয়ার সুযোগ থাকে। মেলাপ্রাঙ্গণ বইপ্রেমী ও পাঠকদের পদচারণায় মুখর হয়ে ওঠে। অনেক সময় মেলায় লেখক ও কবিদেরও দেখা যায়। তাঁরা বইয়ে স্বাক্ষর প্রদান করেন এবং সাহিত্যবিষয়ক বিভিন্ন সেমিনার, আলোচনা ও মতবিনিময় অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

We reached the fair in the late afternoon. When we entered the main gate, I saw a huge area full of book stalls. The whole place was decorated with colorful papers, banners, and bright lights. A lot of people were already there. There were students, young children holding their parents' hands, and older people. Everyone looked very excited and happy to be surrounded by so many books.
