✅ How to Change Comparative Degree into Superlative Degree

🔹 Rule 1: When the Sentence Has “Than Any Other” or “Than All Other”

Structure:

• Subject + verb

• + the + superlative form of the adjective

• + rest part of the sentence after “other”

🧠 Explanation:

• Use “than any other” → change to “the + superlative + singular noun”

• Use “than all other” → change to “the + superlative + of all + plural noun”

1. Comparative: He is better than any other boy in the class.

   Superlative: He is the best boy in the class.

2. Comparative: She is more talented than any other student in the group.

   Superlative: She is the most talented student in the group.

3. Comparative: He is taller than all other boys in the class.

4. Comparative: This problem is harder than all other problems in the book.

   Superlative: This is the hardest of all problems in the book.

5. Comparative: This car is faster than any other car in the showroom.

🔹 Rule 2: When the Sentence Has “Than Most Other / Many Other / Few Other”

Structure:

• Subject + verb

• + one of the + superlative form of the adjective

• + rest of the sentence (after "most/many/few other")

🧠 Explanation:

Use this rule when the comparison shows that the subject is among the top, but not necessarily the absolute best.

✅ Examples:

1. Comparative: Dhaka is bigger than most other cities in Bangladesh.

   Superlative: Dhaka is one of the biggest cities in Bangladesh.

2. Comparative: This is better than many other options available.

   Superlative: This is one of the best options available.

3. Comparative: She is more hardworking than most other employees in the office.

   Superlative: She is one of the most hardworking employees in the office.

4. Comparative: He is stronger than many other boys in the team.

   Superlative: He is one of the strongest boys in the team.

5. Comparative: This is more difficult than most other tasks I’ve done.

   Superlative: This is one of the most difficult tasks I’ve done.

6. Comparative: That mountain is higher than many other peaks in the range.
