Ans. The Story of two Brothers
There lived two brothers in a village. After their father’s death, they inherited three things — a cow, a palm tree and a blanket. They were Ali and Bashir. Ali, the younger was being exploited by the elder brother, Bashir. Bashir was very cunning.
Ali was very simple. He was obedient to his elder brother. The things they inherited were divided between the two brothers. Bashir himself chose the profitable share. He took lower part of the cow and upper part of the palm tree. The time of using the blanket was also fixed. He used it at night and left it for Ali at day time.
As a result Ali fed the cow all day long and watered the palm tree regularly. Bashir milked the cow and drank alone. He also ate the palms grown in the tree and drank the juice alone. Ali was deprived of milk, palms and juice. Moreover, he could not use the blanket, because it was unnecessary at day time.
A wise man noticed that Bashir was growing fatter day by day and Ali was becoming thinner. He asked Ali about the cause behind it. Ali told him the story of sharing and caring of their wealth. The wise man whispered something into Ali's ears. Then Ali made up his mind to teach Bashir a good lesson. He began to whip the cow on its head while Bashir was milking. At this Bashir failed to milk the cow. Ali attempted to cut the tree just when Bashir was climbing it to take the juice. He also kept the blanket wet in the evening so that Bashir could not use it at night. In these circumstances, Bashir realized his faults and agreed to share everything equally with Ali.

Ans. The Story of two Brothers
There lived two brothers in a village. After their father's death, they inherited three things — a cow, a palm tree, and a blanket. They were Ali and Bashir. Ali, the younger, was being exploited by the elder brother, Bashir. Bashir was very cunning.
Bashir always took advantage of Ali's kind nature. He would make Ali do all the hard work while he sat back and enjoyed the rewards. One day, Bashir said to Ali, "You should take the cow to the field to graze. I'll stay here and look after the palm tree." Ali, always obedient, agreed and took the cow to the fields.
As Ali worked tirelessly, Bashir took advantage of the palm tree's fruit. He sold the dates without telling Ali and kept the money for himself. When Ali came back, tired from the day's work, Bashir would tell him that there was nothing to share. Ali, not suspecting anything, accepted this without protest.
But one day, Ali decided he had enough. He thought about what he could do to stop Bashir from taking advantage of him. He knew that the blanket, which their father had left them, was a valuable possession. So, Ali came up with a plan. He said to Bashir, "Let's make a deal. I'll give you the blanket in exchange for the cow and the palm tree."
Bashir, eager to get the blanket, agreed without hesitation. Ali then took the cow and palm tree and moved to a small hut on the outskirts of the village. From then on, Ali worked hard and sold the milk from the cow and the dates from the tree. He lived a simple but contented life, while Bashir, who was left with only the blanket, realized too late that greed had cost him everything.
Moral: Greed often leads to losing everything, while hard work and fairness bring true happiness.
