10. Paragraph on "Deforestation"

Deforestation means the indiscriminate cutting down of trees and clearing of forests. It is one of the most alarming issues of the modern world. Trees are our best friends, providing us with oxygen, food, medicine, and shelter, while also keeping the environment balanced by absorbing carbon dioxide. However, people are clearing forests rapidly to meet their growing needs for housing, agricultural land, and firewood, without realizing the disastrous consequences. Deforestation leads to global warming, which increases the earth's temperature, melts polar ice, and causes sea levels to rise, potentially submerging coastal areas. It also destroys the habitats of many wild animals and birds, leading to their extinction. Furthermore, the lack of trees causes soil erosion and frequent natural disasters like floods and cyclones. To save our planet, we must stop cutting down trees indiscriminately and launch a massive tree plantation campaign. If we plant more trees today, our future generations will be able to live in a greener and healthier world.

I am currently focusing on subjects like History and Geography, which require a lot of memorization. I am following a strict study routine, waking up early every morning to study the most difficult topics while my mind is fresh. I also make sure to solve previous years' board questions to understand the question pattern better. My teachers have been very supportive, and they have cleared all my doubts regarding complex topics. I am confident that I can finish all the revisions at least a week before the exam.

The Season I Like Most

Bangladesh is a land of natural beauty, blessed with six distinct seasons. Each season has its own unique charm and features. However, among all the seasons, Spring is the one I like the most. It is often called the "King of Seasons" (Rituraj) because of its unmatched beauty and pleasant weather. In the Bangla calendar, Spring consists of the months of Falgun and Chaitra.

The arrival of Spring brings a refreshing change to nature after the cold and dry winter. During this time, the weather is neither too hot nor too cold, making it the most comfortable time of the year. The sky remains clear and bright blue, and the gentle breeze blows, soothing the mind. Nature takes on a vibrant and lively look; trees sprout new, tender leaves, and colorful flowers like the Shimul, Krishnachura, and Palash bloom everywhere, painting the landscape in shades of red and yellow.

The environment becomes full of life and joy. Bees buzz around, and butterflies flutter from flower to flower. The sweet, melodious notes of the cuckoo fill the air, which is truly enchanting to hear. The songs of the cuckoo are a signature of Spring, reminding everyone that the dreary winter is over. It is a season of melody and mirth, where the whole atmosphere seems to be filled with happiness.

Apart from its scenic beauty, Spring is also a season of plenty. Many seasonal fruits and vegetables are available during this time, and the sight of ripe crops in the fields brings joy to the farmers. It is a time for various festivals, including the celebration of Pahela Baishakh, which marks the Bangla New Year. The atmosphere of festivity and cultural activities makes this season even more special.

Though Spring is a short-lived season, its influence on our minds is profound. It rejuvenates our weary souls and inspires us to be creative and hopeful. Its beauty, melody, and pleasant weather make it a favorite for everyone, especially for nature lovers like me. For all these reasons, Spring remains my most cherished season.
