Part B—Writing (Marks—40)

Here are the writing tasks completed with a professional structure, clear subheadings, and accessible English.

10. Write a paragraph on "Your Visit to a Book Fair" (Marks 10)

Your Visit to a Book Fair

A book fair is a place where books of different types are displayed and sold. It is a grand festival of knowledge and learning. I recently had the opportunity to visit the Amar Ekushey Book Fair held at the Bangla Academy premises, and it was a memorable experience. As soon as I entered the fairground, I was overwhelmed by the sight of hundreds of stalls decorated with colorful books. People of all ages, from children to the elderly, were walking around, browsing through different collections. The atmosphere was vibrant, with the smell of new pages filling the air. I saw many famous authors and poets interacting with their readers, which was truly inspiring. I spent hours walking from stall to stall, exploring books on history, science, literature, and art. I finally bought several books, including some novels and a collection of poems. I felt that such fairs are not just for buying books; they play a vital role in building the habit of reading among people and keeping our culture alive. My visit to the book fair was both enjoyable and educational, leaving me with a deep appreciation for the power of books.

11. Application to the Headmaster for increasing library facilities (Marks 10)

24 May 2026

The Headmaster,

Bogra Zilla School, Bogra.

Subject: Application for increasing library facilities.

Sir,

With due respect, I am writing to you on behalf of the students of your reputed school. We are proud of our school’s academic reputation. However, we are facing difficulties because our school library is not well-furnished and lacks essential facilities. Currently, the library suffers from an insufficient number of reference books, current journals, and newspapers. Furthermore, the seating arrangement is not comfortable enough for students to study peacefully for long hours.

A library is the heart of an educational institution. Without a well-equipped library, we are unable to enrich our knowledge beyond our textbooks. Therefore, we earnestly request you to take the necessary steps to increase the number of books, improve the seating arrangements, and provide modern facilities in our library.

We hope that you will consider our request favorably to encourage the habit of reading among the students.

Sincerely yours,

Ahid / Ahida

Class: X, Roll: 05 On behalf of the students of Bogra Zilla School

12. Write a composition on "The Season You Like Most" (Marks 20)

The Season I Like Most

Bangladesh is a land of natural beauty, blessed with six distinct seasons. Each season has its own unique charm and features. However, among all the seasons, Spring (Boshonto) is the one I like the most. It is known as the "King of Seasons" (Rituraj) due to its unmatched beauty and pleasant weather. In the Bangla calendar, Spring consists of the months of Falgun and Chaitra.

The arrival of Spring brings a refreshing change to nature after the cold and dry winter. During this time, the weather is neither too hot nor too cold, making it the most comfortable time of the year. The sky remains clear and bright blue, and a gentle breeze blows, soothing the mind. Nature takes on a vibrant look; trees sprout new, tender leaves, and colorful flowers like the Shimul, Krishnachura, and Palash bloom everywhere, painting the landscape in shades of red and yellow.

The environment becomes full of life and joy. Bees buzz around, and butterflies flutter from flower to flower. The sweet, melodious notes of the cuckoo fill the air, which is truly enchanting to hear. The songs of the cuckoo are a signature of Spring, reminding everyone that the dreary winter is over. It is a season of melody and mirth, where the whole atmosphere seems to be filled with happiness.

Apart from its scenic beauty, Spring is also a season of plenty. Many seasonal fruits and vegetables are available during this time. The sight of green fields and the promise of a good harvest bring hope and joy to the farmers. It is a time for various festivals, including the celebration of Pahela Baishakh, which marks the Bangla New Year. The atmosphere of festivity and cultural activities makes this season even more special.

Though Spring is a short-lived season, its influence on our minds is profound. It rejuvenates our weary souls and inspires us to be creative and hopeful. Its beauty, melody, and pleasant weather make it a favorite for everyone, especially for nature lovers. It offers a sense of relief and a chance to enjoy the outdoors after months of being confined during winter.

To conclude, Spring is a gift of nature. It brings color to the earth and happiness to human hearts. Because of its excitement, health benefits, and the spirit of renewal it fosters, Spring remains my most cherished season. I always look forward to its arrival every year with great anticipation.
