Part B—Composition (Marks—40)

10. Write a paragraph on "A Winter Morning" (Marks 10)

A Winter Morning

A winter morning is cold, misty, and foggy. In our country, the winter season brings a unique atmosphere that is quite different from other times of the year. During a winter morning, a thick layer of fog covers the earth, and everything around seems hazy and indistinct. Dew drops fall on the grass and the leaves of trees throughout the night, which sparkle like pearls when the morning sun shines on them. The cold is biting, and people, especially the elderly and children, suffer greatly. Poor people, who do not have warm clothes, gather straw and old wood to make fires and bask in the heat to keep themselves warm. Birds and animals also feel the chill and stay quiet. However, a winter morning has its own charm. People enjoy eating various kinds of delicious homemade cakes (pithas) and drinking date juice. When the sun rises, the fog gradually disappears, and the warmth of the sun makes life comfortable again. Although a winter morning can be difficult for the underprivileged, it is a pleasant and fascinating experience for those who have the means to enjoy the serenity and the beauty of nature.

11. Application to the Principal for remission of delay fine

24 May 2026

The Principal, KHA Madrasah, [Insert Location, e.g., Dhaka]

Subject: Application for remission of delay fine.

Sir,

With due respect and humble submission, I beg to state that I am a student of class ten in your madrasah. I was unable to pay my monthly tuition fees in time because my father, the only earning member of our family, had to go abroad for urgent business and was absent from home for the last two months. As a result, I missed the deadline for paying the fees and have been charged a delay fine. My father has now returned, but the extra fine is a burden on our current financial situation.

I, therefore, hope that you would be kind enough to consider my situation and remit the delay fine so that I can clear my dues and continue my studies without further trouble.

Sincerely yours,

Tarek / Tamanna

Class: X, Roll: 05 KHA Madrasah

12. Composition on "Science in Our Daily Life" (Marks 20)

Science in Our Daily Life

We live in an age of science. It is impossible to think of a single day without the influence of scientific inventions. From the moment we wake up in the morning until we go to sleep at night, we are surrounded by the wonders of science. It has changed our lifestyle, making life easier, faster, and more comfortable.

Science has turned the world into a "global village" through its advancements in communication. Mobile phones, the internet, and satellite TV allow us to communicate with people anywhere in the world within seconds. In terms of transportation, science has made the world smaller. Aeroplanes, fast trains, buses, and cars allow us to travel long distances in a short time. What once took months to travel can now be covered in hours.

The revolution in education is perhaps the most significant gift of science. The internet has opened up a vast treasure house of knowledge. Students can now access information, attend online classes, and read e-books from the comfort of their homes. Computers have simplified complex calculations and have become an essential tool in every school and office.

Science has worked miracles in the medical field. Diseases that were once considered fatal, such as smallpox or cholera, are now under control. Advanced diagnostic tools like X-rays, ECG, CT scans, and MRI machines help doctors identify illnesses accurately. The invention of life-saving antibiotics and vaccines has significantly increased the average human lifespan.

Modern agriculture relies heavily on science. The use of high-yielding variety (HYV) seeds, chemical fertilizers, and insecticides has boosted food production to feed the growing population. Similarly, our industrial sector is powered by scientific machinery. From manufacturing clothes to heavy metals, everything is produced with the help of scientific technology.

Electricity is the most essential gift of science. It lights up our homes, powers our fans, refrigerators, and air conditioners, and runs the appliances we use every day. Domestic life has become much more convenient due to these modern gadgets.

Despite its immense benefits, science has a dark side. If misused, it can lead to disaster. The invention of nuclear weapons and missiles poses a great threat to human civilization. Furthermore, industrialization has led to environmental pollution and global warming, which are serious concerns for our planet’s future.

Science is a powerful force that has brought prosperity and comfort to human life. It is neither a blessing nor a curse by itself; it depends on how we use it. We must be wise and responsible, ensuring that scientific inventions are used for the welfare of mankind rather than for destruction. If guided by ethics and humanity, science will continue to be a great blessing for all.
