Part B—Composition (Marks—40)
10. Paragraph on "The Benefits of Early Rising" (Marks 10)
The Benefits of Early Rising
Early rising is the habit of getting up from bed at dawn. It is an excellent habit that brings immense benefits to human life. An early riser gets enough time to complete his tasks throughout the day. By getting up early, a person can inhale fresh, pollution-free air, which is highly beneficial for health. The quiet and calm atmosphere of the morning is perfect for physical exercise, study, and planning the day's activities. It also provides the mental peace needed to face the challenges of the day. Scientists and physicians agree that early rising keeps the body fit and the mind active. A person who rises early can make a proper routine, manage time efficiently, and lead a disciplined life. In contrast, those who get up late often feel sluggish and fail to manage their time properly, which can hinder their progress in life. As the saying goes, "Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise." Therefore, to live a healthy, successful, and long life, everyone should cultivate the habit of early rising from an early age.
11. Application for a Tree Plantation Program (Marks 10)
24 May 2026
The Headmaster, Adarsha School, [Insert Location]
Subject: Prayer for permission to arrange a tree plantation programme.
Sir,
I am writing to you on behalf of the students of your school. We are deeply aware of the importance of maintaining a healthy and green environment. We want to make our school campus a "Green Campus, Dream Campus." To achieve this goal, we are very interested in organizing a tree plantation programme on our school campus. We believe this initiative will not only beautify our environment but also educate the students about the necessity of trees in our lives.
We have already planned the details and have the support of our classmates. We would like to conduct this programme on the upcoming Friday. We request you to grant us permission to carry out this activity and, if possible, provide us with some saplings.
I, therefore, hope that you would kindly permit us to organize this noble programme and oblige thereby.
Sincerely yours,
Abid / Abida

12. Composition on "Blessings of Modern Science" (Marks 20)
Blessings of Modern Science
Science is the systematic knowledge of nature and the physical world gained through experiment and observation. Modern civilization is largely a gift of science, and our daily lives are deeply influenced by its inventions. Science has brought about a revolutionary change in every sphere of life, making the impossible possible and the world smaller and faster for everyone.
The most significant contribution of science can be seen in the field of communication and information. The telephone, mobile phone, internet, and satellite TV have turned the entire world into a global village. We can now communicate with anyone across the globe in a fraction of a second, and the internet allows us to access a vast treasure of knowledge from anywhere. In the fields of agriculture and industry, science has brought incredible progress. Modern farming tools like tractors and power tillers, along with chemical fertilizers and high-yielding seeds, have drastically increased food production. Similarly, industries today run almost entirely on the power of scientific machinery.
In the realm of medical science, science has worked wonders. Diseases that were once considered fatal, such as smallpox or cholera, are now easily curable. With the invention of advanced diagnostic tools like X-rays, CT scans, and life-saving antibiotics, doctors can treat patients more accurately than ever before. Modern medicine has even given vision to the blind and hearing aids to the deaf, significantly improving the quality and length of human life. Electricity is perhaps the most magical gift of science, lighting up our homes, running our fans, and powering the massive industrial sectors that drive our economy.
Transportation has also become faster and more comfortable. We can travel from one country to another in a few hours using aeroplanes. Trains, buses, and cars have made long-distance travel easy, which was once unthinkable. Computers, on the other hand, have simplified the most difficult calculations and tasks, helping us manage our complex lives with efficiency and ease.
However, every invention has two sides. While science has provided us with immense blessings, it can also become a curse if misused. Some scientists have invented dreadful weapons like atom bombs and missiles, which have the potential to destroy the world in a moment. Environmental pollution, which is a major threat to our planet today, is also partly a result of scientific and industrial over-development.
In conclusion, science is the most powerful tool ever created by human beings. It has made our life easy, comfortable, and prosperous. Science is meant to serve humanity, not to destroy it. If we use scientific inventions wisely and responsibly for the benefit of mankind, we can ensure a better, safer, and more peaceful world for the future generation. Science is a blessing as long as it is guided by human wisdom and ethics.
