Answer to the Question No. 13

July 25, 2025

The Headmaster 'X' High School Dhaka.

Subject: Prayer for permission to go on a picnic.

Sir, We, the students of your school, beg most respectfully to state that our annual examination is now over. We are feeling very tired and bored with our routine academic life. We feel that a little recreation would refresh our minds and help us to concentrate on our studies with renewed energy. Therefore, we would like to go on a picnic.

We have decided to go to Sonargaon, a place of great historical importance, on next Friday. Some of our beloved teachers have kindly agreed to accompany us and guide us on the tour. We have also decided to bear all the expenses of the picnic ourselves.

We, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to grant us permission to go on the picnic and oblige thereby.

Yours most obediently,

The Students of 'X' High School.

Answer to the Question No. 14

A Tea Stall

A tea stall is a small shop where tea and other light snacks are prepared and sold. It is a very common and familiar sight in both villages and towns all over Bangladesh. A tea stall is usually a small, temporary shed made of tin or bamboo, with a few simple benches and tables for customers. The main attraction is the owner, who is always busy preparing tea in a large kettle over a stove. Along with tea, items like biscuits, cakes, bananas, and bread are also sold. A tea stall is not just a place for having tea; it is a popular gathering place for people from all walks of life. Labourers, rickshaw-pullers, students, office clerks, and villagers gather here to relax and chat. It is often a noisy place, filled with the sounds of conversation and the clatter of cups and saucers. People discuss various topics, from local gossip to national politics, which is why it is often humorously called a 'mini-parliament'. It opens early in the morning and closes late at night, serving as a hub of social interaction and a place of rest and refreshment for the common people.

Answer to the Question No. 15

My Aim in Life

A life without an aim is like a ship without a rudder, drifting aimlessly at sea. Every person should have a definite aim in life to guide their actions and give their life a meaningful purpose. From my childhood, I have cherished a dream, and the aim of my life is to be a doctor.

There are many reasons why I have chosen this profession. Firstly, it is a very noble profession. A doctor has the opportunity to serve humanity directly. In our country, especially in the villages, there is a severe lack of qualified doctors and proper medical facilities. Many poor villagers suffer and die from diseases that can be easily cured. I have witnessed this suffering in my own village. This has inspired me to become a doctor so that I can go back to my village and provide medical care to the poor and distressed people. My goal is not to earn a lot of money, but to serve the people who are deprived of basic healthcare.

To achieve my aim, I know I must prepare myself from now on. I am a student of the science group, and I am studying subjects like biology and chemistry with great care. I am determined to work hard to get excellent results in my SSC and HSC examinations. I know that I will have to pass the highly competitive medical admission test to get into a good medical college. I am ready to put in all the hard work and dedication required for this.

After completing my MBBS degree, I plan to return to my native village. I want to set up a charitable dispensary there to provide free or low-cost treatment to the poor villagers. I want to be their friend and guide in times of sickness and distress. I want to teach them the basic rules of health and hygiene to prevent diseases.

My aim is to dedicate my life to the service of suffering humanity. It is a long and difficult path, but I am determined to reach my goal. I believe that true happiness lies not in wealth, but in serving others. I pray to the Almighty to grant me the strength and ability to fulfill my noble dream.
