Rahmat Mia is a poor rickshaw puller in Dhaka. He drives his rickshaw in different parts of the city. One day, he saw some men selling lottery tickets. He felt tempted and bought one. He knew the date of the lottery draw and waited eagerly for it.
When the date arrived, he bought a newspaper. To his great surprise, he saw that his lottery ticket number had won the first prize. His joy knew no bounds. He went to the local government officer with his lottery ticket. After proper verification, he received a large amount of money securely from the authorities.
Rahmat Mia decided to invest his money wisely. He started a poultry farm in his village and hired some local people to work with him. Soon, he began earning a lot of money. In this way, he used his money productively. As a result, he became rich and respected in his area.
At the same time, some young people in his village got new jobs at his farm. This helped reduce unemployment in his locality. Therefore, Rahmat Mia not only became a wealthy man but also helped solve a major problem in his community.

Kashem felt tempted and bought a ticket. He knew the date of the draw. He was waiting eagerly for the day. Then the much awaited day came and he purchased a daily newspaper. As he received primary education in childhood, he could read and write a bit. He started to search the page in which the result of the lottery was printed. He was trying to find out his ticket number with excitement. It was a great surprise for him when he found the number on the top of the list. Kashem won the first prize of the lottery. He was so excited that he burst into tears with joy. But he was at a loss how he would get the money.
Kashem contacted with one of his neighbours who was a school teacher. The teacher assured him every help. He took Kashem to the nearest police station and asked for their security. Then they communicated with the authority of the lottery. The authority checked the ticket and paid twenty-five lac taka as the first prize. Kashem came back home with police protection.
The joys of Kashem knew no bounds. Kashem decided to do something for self-employment. He went back to his village and started a poultry farm. He also started a stationery shop alongside his poultry business. He deposited the rest of the money in a bank. The bad days of Kashem were gone and he became solvent and self-employed.
