Joyful Fresher’s Reception Held at Barishal Govt. College

Local Correspondent, Barishal, September 10, 2026: Yesterday was a very special day for the newly admitted students of Barishal Government College as the authorities organized a warm fresher’s reception program in the main college hall. The entire campus was decorated beautifully with colorful papers, balloons, and welcoming festoons.

The program officially began at 10:30 a.m. with the recitation of holy verses. The Principal of the college presided over the event, and the local Member of Parliament attended as the chief guest. Senior students welcomed every newcomer with a red rose and a sweet box, making them feel very happy and comfortable.

During the speeches, the chief guest advised the young students to study attentively, respect their teachers, and stay away from bad company. The Principal also delivered an inspiring speech about the glorious history of the college and told the freshers to focus on both studies and sports.

After the formal speeches, a wonderful cultural program started. Talented students from the second-year classes sang sweet folk songs, recited famous poems, and performed a humorous drama that made everyone laugh. The freshers enjoyed the performances very much and clapped loudly. The happy day ended with a delicious packet lunch served to all students and teachers.

Our College Welcomed New Students

Staff Reporter, Sylhet, October 2, 2026: Yesterday, our college celebrated a very nice freshers' reception for the new students who joined this year. The big college field and the stage were decorated with green leaves and colorful paper flags.

The program started at 9:00 a.m. in the morning. Our Principal sat on the main chair, and many teachers and parents came to watch. First, a student read verses from the Holy Quran. Then, the senior students gave flowers and nice pens to all the new boys and girls.

Our teachers talked to us and gave good advice. They told us to study hard every day and always be polite to everyone. After the talking part, we had a very fun cultural show. Some students sang nice songs, and some danced happily on the stage. We clapped our hands and laughed a lot.

At noon, everyone received a sweet packet with biscuits and juice. We took many pictures with our new friends and teachers. It was a very happy day for all of us, and we will never forget our first big college party.

স্টাফ রিপোর্টার, সিলেট, ২ অক্টোবর, ২০২৬: গতকাল আমাদের কলেজ এ বছর ভর্তি হওয়া নতুন শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য একটি খুব সুন্দর নবীন বরণের আয়োজন করে। সবুজ পাতা ও রঙিন কাগজের পতাকা দিয়ে বড় কলেজ মাঠ এবং মঞ্চটি সাজানো হয়েছিল।

সকাল ৯টায় অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হয়। আমাদের অধ্যক্ষ মূল চেয়ারে বসেছিলেন, এবং অনেক শিক্ষক ও অভিভাবক তা দেখতে এসেছিলেন। প্রথমে এক শিক্ষার্থী পবিত্র কোরআন থেকে তিলাওয়াত করে। এরপর জ্যেষ্ঠ শিক্ষার্থীরা সব নতুন ছেলেমেয়েকে ফুল ও সুন্দর কলম উপহার দেয়।

আমাদের শিক্ষকরা আমাদের সাথে কথা বলেন এবং ভালো পরামর্শ দেন। তারা আমাদের প্রতিদিন কঠোর পড়াশোনা করতে এবং সবার সাথে সবসময় বিনয়ী হতে বলেন। কথা বলার পর্বের পর আমাদের একটি খুব মজার সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান হয়। কিছু শিক্ষার্থী সুন্দর গান গায় এবং কিছু শিক্ষার্থী মঞ্চে আনন্দে নাচে। আমরা হাততালি দিই এবং অনেক হাসিঠাট্টা করি।

দুপুরে সবাই বিস্কুট ও জুসসহ একটি মিষ্টির প্যাকেট পায়। আমরা নতুন বন্ধু ও শিক্ষকদের সাথে অনেক ছবি তুলি। আমাদের সবার জন্যই এটি খুব আনন্দের একটি দিন ছিল, এবং আমাদের কলেজের প্রথম বড় পার্টি আমরা কখনো ভুলব না।]

Freshers’ Reception Held in Udayan College

Sumiya, Khulna; 24 April 2019: Yesterday the fresher’s reception function of Udayan college, Khulna was held with great fervor and enthusiasm. As an old and eminent educational institution of the city, the college observe fresher’s reception programme every year. It was arranged under the auspices of Udayan College X-Student’s Union.

The members of the union did their best to make the function a great success. About 1000 former student’s enjoyed the function. The District Commissioner was the chief guest at the function. The local MP Latif Patwari was also present at the programme who was a former student of the college.

After the recitation from the Holy Quran, the honorable chief guest inaugurated the function. He delivered a nice, short speech. Then the principal of the college Mr. Arunodoy Bosak delivered his welcome address towards the freshers. All the new-comers took their oath and then the actual function started. One of the 2nd year students recited the address of welcome and received the new students cordially. On behalf of the new students one of them expressed their feelings and gratitude.

After that the cultural group of the college performs their songs, dances, jokes etc. Finally a renowned band group performs on the stage and entertained the students. At the end of the function, the principal thanked the chief guest, the principle, the teachers, and the students of the college for their co-operation in making the function a success.
