Digital ICT Fair Starts

Staff Reporter, Dhaka, July 5, 2018: A five-day long Digital ICT Fair-2018 is going to kick start tomorrow at BCS Computer City Centre in the capital’s Agargaon Road with the slogan “Digital Literacy for Everyone”. Computer City Centre Owners’ Association is organising the fair aiming to unlock economic potential of IT sector. Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar inaugurated the fair at a function as the chief guest. The fair will kick off with the welcome address of the visiting guests, followed by the formal opening by cutting the ribbon with national anthem side by side paying rich tribute to Liberation War and Language Movement martyrs.

During the fair there will be many arrangements, including cake festival, cultural events, raffle draws, on every floor of the Multiplan. Over 650 shop owners and computer brands are taking part in the fair with special offers that is attracting people of all ages. This fair mainly focuses on digital devices where customers can avail it without any hassle. During the fair, there will be a focus on several digital development plans.

The entry ticket price for visitors has been fixed at Tk 10 while school goers will get free entry in the fair. Discounts on techno-products will be offered during the fest that will draw the people of all ages, young generation in particular.

Mega Tech Expo-2026 Begins at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre

Tanvir Rahman, Staff Reporter, Dhaka, August 15, 2026: A four-day nationwide technology exposition titled "Mega Tech Expo-2026" commenced today at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital, centering on the core theme "Smart Generation, Smart Bangladesh." The Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), in collaboration with the ICT Division, has organized this grand exhibition to showcase homegrown software solutions, artificial intelligence prototypes, and next-generation consumer electronics.

The honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology inaugurated the mega event this morning as the chief guest. The opening ceremony commenced with a soulful rendition of the national anthem, followed by a solemn moment of silence in remembrance of the heroic martyrs of the July uprising. Over 200 prominent tech giants, hardware manufacturers, and innovative local tech startups have set up colorful pavilions across three massive halls, offering exclusive discounts and exciting promotional bundle offers for gadget enthusiasts.

A major highlight of this year's expo is the specialized robotics workshop and a coding competition for university students. Entry tickets are priced at Tk 50, but students carrying valid institutional identity cards enjoy free admission. Organizers expect over one lakh visitors before the fair concludes on Sunday evening.

Computer and IT Fair Starts at Chittagong Gymnasium Hall

Local Correspondent, Chattogram, September 10, 2026: A three-day regional IT and computer fair began yesterday at the Chittagong Gymnasium Hall with great excitement. The local computer traders association organized the fair to help students and youth learn more about modern computers, laptops, and digital tools.

The divisional commissioner of Chattogram officially opened the fair at 10:00 a.m. by cutting a red ribbon. Many well-known computer brands and shops from Dhaka and Chattogram have set up around fifty stalls inside the hall. They are showing new models of laptops, smart accessories, and gaming devices.

Many young students, teachers, and parents visited the fair on the first day. They were very happy to see modern electronic items and buy them at discounted prices. The fair authority has also arranged a special gaming contest for teenagers, which is drawing a huge crowd. School students wearing uniform are allowed to enter the fair for free, while general visitors pay a small ticket fee of Tk 20. The fair remains open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

স্থানীয় সংবাদদাতা, চট্টগ্রাম, ১০ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০২৬: দারুণ উদ্দীপনার মধ্য দিয়ে গতকাল চট্টগ্রাম জিমনেসিয়াম হলে তিন দিনব্যাপী আঞ্চলিক আইটি ও কম্পিউটার মেলা শুরু হয়েছে। আধুনিক কম্পিউটার, ল্যাপটপ এবং ডিজিটাল টুলস সম্পর্কে শিক্ষার্থী ও যুবসমাজকে আরও বেশি জানতে সাহায্য করার জন্য স্থানীয় কম্পিউটার ব্যবসায়ী সমিতি এই মেলার আয়োজন করেছে।

School Computer Fair Held in Rajshahi

Staff Reporter, Rajshahi, October 5, 2026: A nice little computer fair was held yesterday at the Rajshahi Collegiate School auditorium. The school science club organized this special one-day program to teach young children how to use computers and basic technology safely.

The Headmaster of the school inaugurated the fair in the morning. Ten computer shops from the local market set up small tables with laptops, keyboards, and colorful computer parts. Little children and their parents came to see how computers work.

The most interesting part of the fair was a small drawing competition on computers, where school students painted pictures using mouse and paint software. The winners received cute prizes like pens and notebooks. Everyone smiled and clapped for the smart kids.

There was no entry fee for anyone, so many local people and students came to enjoy the exhibition. The teachers said that organizing such fairs helps children grow up with modern technical knowledge. The program ended in the afternoon with happy smiles on every child's face.

স্টাফ রিপোর্টার, রাজশাহী, ৫ অক্টোবর, ২০২৬: গতকাল রাজশাহী কলেজিয়েট স্কুলের মিলনায়তনে একটি সুন্দর ছোট কম্পিউটার মেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হলো। ছোট শিশুদের কম্পিউটার ও নিরাপদ প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার শেখানোর জন্য স্কুলের বিজ্ঞান ক্লাব এই বিশেষ একদিনের কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করে।

সকালে স্কুলের প্রধান শিক্ষক মেলার উদ্বোধন করেন। স্থানীয় বাজারের দশটি কম্পিউটার দোকান ল্যাপটপ, কিবোর্ড এবং রঙিন কম্পিউটার যন্ত্রাংশ নিয়ে ছোট টেবিল সাজিয়ে বসে। ছোট শিশুরা ও তাদের বাবা-মায়েরা কম্পিউটার কীভাবে কাজ করে তা দেখতে আসে।

মেলার সবচেয়ে মজার অংশ ছিল কম্পিউটারে একটি ছোট অঙ্কন প্রতিযোগিতা, যেখানে স্কুলের শিক্ষার্থীরা মাউস ও পেইন্ট সফটওয়্যার ব্যবহার করে ছবি আঁকে। বিজয়ী শিশুরা কলম ও খাতার মতো সুন্দর পুরস্কার পায়। বুদ্ধিমান শিশুগুলোর জন্য সবাই হাসে এবং হাততালি দেয়।
