Staff Reporter, Motijeel,Dhaka, July 5, 2022: ‘The National Day’ was observed with great enthusiasm and due solemnity at the college premises of Rotary School and College. A special committee was formed earlier to celebrate the day. The Assistant Lecturer, Mr. Abul Kalam Azad was the head of this 7-member committee. The committee launched on the occasion a number of programmes including discussion meeting, milad mahfil etc. The college premises were decorated beautifully. An artistic gate was built at the entrance of the college field. Some special guests as well as our guardians were invited to attend the programmes. At 7 a.m. the programme began with the hoisting of our national flag by the principal. Students brought out a colourful procession and paraded round the main street of the town. Then a discussion meeting was held in college auditorium. The Deputy Commissioner, Dhaka, Mr. Maruf Hossain was the chief guest. He delivered an important speech full of patriotic zeal. Among others Mr. Zahur Ali Mollah, Mr. Yakub Ali and on behalf of the students this reporter spoke on the occasion. The Principal Mr. Nurul Momen presided over the meeting. At the end, a milad and doa mahfil was held. Maulana Yakub Ali conducted it.

Celebration of Independence Day at Rangpur Government College

Bikash, Rangpur, March 28, 2023: The commemoration of 'Independence Day' at Rangpur Government College was marked with fervor and reverence, reflecting the spirit of patriotism and national unity. A dedicated committee, led by Assistant Professor Mr. Mafidul Islam Chowdhury, meticulously planned and executed a series of events to honor this significant day in our nation's history.

The college premises were adorned with vibrant decorations, culminating in the construction of an ornate gate at the entrance of the college field, symbolizing our collective pride and resilience as a nation. Special guests and esteemed guardians were graciously invited to partake in the day's festivities.

The day commenced at 7 a.m. with the solemn hoisting of the national flag by the Principal, an emblematic gesture of respect and allegiance to our motherland. Subsequently, students embarked on a colorful procession, parading through the main streets of the town, showcasing their patriotic fervor and solidarity.

A thought-provoking discussion meeting ensued in the college auditorium, graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including the Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur, Mr. Rafiqul Islam, who delivered an impassioned speech, replete with patriotic zeal, inspiring all present to uphold the values of freedom and unity.

Throughout the meeting, heartfelt speeches were delivered by notable individuals such as Mr. Motaher Hussain and Mr. Saleh Ahmad, along with representatives of the student body, including this reporter. Under the guidance of Principal Mr. Shafiqur Rahman, the proceedings were conducted with dignity and reverence, underscoring the significance of the occasion.

As the day drew to a close, a milad and doa mahfil was conducted, presided over by Maulana Nur Ahmed, offering prayers for the well-being and prosperity of our nation. The event concluded on a note of solemn reflection, reaffirming our commitment to the ideals of freedom, justice, and unity that lie at the heart of our nation's journey towards progress and prosperity.

Independence Day Observed with Great Fervor at Notre Dame College

Staff Reporter, Dhaka, March 27, 2026: Notre Dame College commemorated the historic Independence Day of Bangladesh yesterday with profound solemnity, patriotic zeal, and a well-structured series of cultural and academic events. A special organizing committee, led by senior professor Dr. Moniruzzaman, meticulously planned the day-long program to instill deep nationalistic values among the young students.

The college campus underwent a stunning transformation, adorned with the national flag, red and green banners, and a magnificent floral gate at the entrance. The festivities commenced precisely at 7:00 a.m. with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by the honorable Principal, accompanied by the soulful rendition of the national anthem by the college choir.

Following the flag-raising, an enthusiastic procession of over a thousand students marched through the surrounding thoroughfares, chanting slogans that honored the heroic martyrs of 1971. A formal discussion meeting was subsequently held in the packed Padre Pio Auditorium. স্টাফ রিপোর্টার, ঢাকা, ২৭ মার্চ, ২০২৬: নটর ডেম কলেজ গতকাল গভীর শ্রদ্ধা, দেশপ্রেম এবং সুবিন্যস্ত সাংস্কৃতিক ও একাডেমিক অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে বাংলাদেশের ঐতিহাসিক স্বাধীনতা দিবস পালন করেছে। তরুণ শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে গভীর জাতীয়তাবাদী মূল্যবোধ জাগিয়ে তুলতে জ্যেষ্ঠ অধ্যাপক ড. মনিরুজ্জামানের নেতৃত্বে একটি বিশেষ আয়োজন কমিটি দিনব্যাপী এই কর্মসূচি অত্যন্ত নিখুঁতভাবে পরিকল্পনা করে।

পতাকা উত্তোলনের পর, এক হাজারেরও বেশি শিক্ষার্থীর একটি উৎসাহী শোভাযাত্রা চারপাশের রাস্তাগুলো প্রদক্ষিণ করে এবং ১৯৭১ সালের বীর শহীদদের স্মরণে স্লোগান দেয়। পরবর্তীতে কানায় কানায় পূর্ণ প্যাড্রে পিয়ো মিলনায়তনে একটি আনুষ্ঠানিক আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। ঢাকার বিভাগীয় কমিশনার অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে আমাদের বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের আত্মত্যাগ নিয়ে একটি অনুপ্রেরণামূলক বক্তব্য দেন।

Independence Day Celebrated at Sylhet Government Pilot High School

Local Correspondent, Sylhet, March 27, 2026: Sylhet Government Pilot High School celebrated Independence Day yesterday with great joy and deep respect. A committee of teachers, headed by Senior Teacher Mr. Jahangir Alam, arranged various nice programs for the students and local guests.

Early in the morning, the school field was decorated with colorful paper flags and festoons. A beautiful bamboo gate was built at the school entrance. At 7:30 a.m., all the students and teachers gathered on the field. The Headmaster hoisted the national flag while everyone stood straight and sang the national anthem together.

After the flag hoisting, the students wearing white shirts and blue pants started a colorful march-past. They walked through the main town roads holding red and green flags and shouting slogans.

Later, a discussion meeting was organized in the school hall room. The local Upazila Nirbahi Officer attended as the chief guest and spoke about the history of our Liberation War. Some senior students and teachers also delivered good speeches. At the end of the program, a special prayer was offered for the souls of the brave martyrs and the bright future of our country.

সকালে স্কুলের মাঠ রঙিন কাগজের পতাকা ও ফেস্টুনে সাজানো হয়েছিল। স্কুলের প্রবেশদ্বারে একটি সুন্দর বাঁশের তোরণ তৈরি করা হয়েছিল। সকাল সাড়ে ৭টায় সব শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থী মাঠে সমবেত হন। সবাই সোজা হয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে একসাথে জাতীয় সংগীত গাওয়ার সময় প্রধান শিক্ষক জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করেন।

পতাকা উত্তোলন শেষে সাদা শার্ট ও নীল প্যান্ট পরা শিক্ষার্থীরা একটি বর্ণাঢ্য মার্চ-পাস্ট শুরু করে। তারা লাল-সবুজ পতাকা হাতে ও স্লোগান দিয়ে শহরের প্রধান সড়কগুলো প্রদক্ষিণ করে।

পরে স্কুলের হলরুমে একটি আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করা হয়। স্থানীয় উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে আমাদের মুক্তিযুদ্ধের ইতিহাস নিয়ে কথা বলেন। কিছু জ্যেষ্ঠ শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষকও ভালো বক্তব্য রাখেন। অনুষ্ঠানের শেষে বীর শহীদদের আত্মার মাগফিরাত এবং দেশের উজ্জ্বল ভবিষ্যৎ কামনা করে বিশেষ মোনাজাত করা হয়।]

Our School Celebrated Independence Day

Staff Reporter, Bogura, March 27, 2026: Yesterday was a very happy day for us because our school celebrated Independence Day. Our teachers made a special plan to make the day wonderful.

In the morning, we all went to school wearing new clothes. The school building looked very nice with flowers and green leaves. At 8:00 a.m., our Headmaster raised the red and green national flag. We all sang the national song loudly.

Then, we went for a smart walk on the village road. We carried small paper flags in our hands and shouted "Joy Bangla!" People living nearby stood on the road and clapped for us.

After the walk, we sat inside the big school room. Our teachers told us stories about the brave freedom fighters who fought for our country in 1971. We learned that we must love our country very much. At the end of the meeting, we ate sweet candy and prayed to God for the safety of Bangladesh. It was a very good day for all of us.

স্টাফ রিপোর্টার, বগুড়া, ২৭ মার্চ, ২০২৬: গতকাল আমাদের স্কুলের জন্য একটি অত্যন্ত আনন্দের দিন ছিল কারণ আমরা স্বাধীনতা দিবস উদযাপন করেছি। দিনটিকে সুন্দর করে তুলতে আমাদের শিক্ষকরা একটি বিশেষ পরিকল্পনা করেছিলেন।

সকালে আমরা সবাই নতুন পোশাক পরে স্কুলে গেলাম। ফুল ও সবুজ পাতা দিয়ে স্কুল ভবনটি খুব সুন্দর দেখাচ্ছিল। সকাল ৮টায় আমাদের প্রধান শিক্ষক লাল-সবুজ জাতীয় পতাকা উত্তোলন করলেন। আমরা সবাই উচ্চস্বরে জাতীয় সংগীত গাইলাম।

এরপর আমরা গ্রামের রাস্তায় একটি সুন্দর পদযাত্রায় গেলাম। আমাদের হাতে ছোট কাগজের পতাকা ছিল এবং আমরা "জয় বাংলা!" স্লোগান দিলাম। আশেপাশের মানুষ রাস্তার পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে আমাদের জন্য হাততালি দিল।

পদযাত্রা শেষে আমরা বড় স্কুলঘরের ভেতরে বসলাম। আমাদের শিক্ষকরা ১৯৭১ সালে দেশের জন্য লড়াই করা বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের গল্প আমাদের শোনালেন। আমরা শিখলাম যে আমাদের দেশকে খুব ভালোবাসতে হবে। সভার শেষে আমরা মিষ্টি খেলাম এবং বাংলাদেশের নিরাপত্তার জন্য আল্লাহর কাছে প্রার্থনা করলাম। আমাদের সবার জন্য এটি একটি খুব ভালো দিন ছিল।]
