Engine Boat Capsizes in Meghna River

The accident took place at 10:00 a.m. when people were going to the other side of the river to visit a big Baishakhi Mela. There were about 60 passengers on the boat, which was way beyond its capacity. Suddenly, the engine failed, and the boat hit a hidden sandbar. Sad Boat Accident on the Padma River

The boat was carrying 15 school students and a teacher. They were crossing the river to go to their school for a final exam. At about 8:30 in the morning, the wind became very strong. Big waves hit the small boat, and it turned upside down. Everyone fell into the cold water.
