Countable Noun: Nouns that can be counted. They have singular and plural forms and can be preceded by articles (a, an, the). Only Common Nouns are typically countable. Examples: Book, Pen, Boy, Star, Student, etc.

Uncountable Noun: Nouns that cannot be counted (substances, qualities, ideas, activities). They usually do not have plural forms and are not preceded by articles (a, an) in their general sense. Examples: Water, Rice, Sugar, Information, Furniture, Knowledge, Money, Traffic, Scenery, etc. (Note: American English uses 'Count noun' and 'Non-count noun').
