Put the following parts of the story in correct order to make the whole story.


I. Nawfel, king of another part of Arabia became jealous of Hatem Tai.

II. He feared that Hatem might one day take away his kingdom.

III. Many years ago there lived a nobleman in one part of Arabia.

IV. He was Hatem Tai who used to give the poor freely out of his riches.

V. So he made up his mind to get rid of Hatem at any cost.

VI. So he collected his men and marched against Hatem.

VII. Hatem knew of this and hid himself in a dense forest.

VIII. That is why, he was very much loved by all people of Arabia.

Many years ago, there lived a nobleman in one part of Arabia. He was Hatem Tai who used to give the poor freely out of his riches. That is why he was very much loved by all people of Arabia. Nawfel, king of another part of Arabia, became jealous of Hatem Tai. He feared that Hatem might one day take away his kingdom. So, he made up his mind to get rid of Hatem at any cost. He collected his men and marched against Hatem. Hatem knew of this and hid himself in a dense forest. King Nawfel could not get Hatem.


বহু বছর আগে আরবের এক অঞ্চলে এক সম্ভ্রান্ত ব্যক্তি বাস করতেন। তিনি ছিলেন হাতেম তাই যে তার ধন থেকে গরিবদের অবাধে দিতেন। এজন্য তিনি আরবের সকল মানুষের কাছে অত্যন্ত প্রিয় ছিলেন। আরবের আরেক অংশের রাজা নওফেল হাতেম তাইয়ের প্রতি ঈর্ষান্বিত হয়ে পড়েন। তিনি আশঙ্কা করেছিলেন যে হাতেম একদিন তার রাজ্য কেড়ে নিতে পারে। তাই, তিনি যে কোন মূল্যে হাতেমকে পরিত্রাণ পেতে মনস্থির করলেন। সে তার লোকদের সংগ্রহ করে হাতেমের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযান চালায়। হাতেম বিষয়টি জানতে পেরে ঘন জঙ্গলে লুকিয়ে থাকে। রাজা নওফেল হাতেমকে পেতে পারেননি।



Put the following parts of the story in correct order to make the whole story.


a) But the guests praised Hatem Tai also. (কিন্তু অতিথিরা হাতেম তাঈয়ের প্রশংসাও করলেন।)

THE GREATNESS OF HATEM TAI

Long, long ago, there lived a very kind and generous man, called Hatem Tai in Yemen. He gave away his riches to the poor and distressed. The people loved Hatem Tai and praised him more than the king of the country. So the king became jealous of Hatem Tai and wanted to kill him. The king sent his soldiers to kill Hateni. Tai. But Hatem Tai left his palace and riches and went into hiding in a forest. Failing to catch Hatem Tai the king declared a handsome reward of one thousand gold coins for catching Hatem Tai. A woodcutter and his wife were taking rest sitting beside a bush. They didn't. know that Hatem Tai was hiding in the bush. The wife said that if they could arrest Hatem Tai, they would get the reward and become rich. Hearing this Hatem Tai said to himself, "I have nothing but my own life to give them." So he surrendered to them. The woodcutter was very honest and refused to take Hatem to the king. In the meantime five armed men came and took away Hatem from them. The woodcutter and his wife also followed them. Everybody claimed to the king that he had caught Hatem. But Hatem said that it was the woodcutter and not the other people who caught and brought Hatem Tai to the king. He requested the king to give the promised money to the poor woodcutter's family so that they would live in peace. The king heard everything from the woodcutter. He said. "I am proud but you are kind and humble. I am defeated by you. As long as you live please stay in my court and do good to my subjects. You are free to do anything you like for the welfare of my kingdom."
