With due respect and humble submission, I, on behalf of the college debate and Model UN team, would like to inform you that the highly prestigious Dhaka University National Model United Nations (DUNMUN) conference is scheduled to be held next month. We are highly eager to participate in this national event and officially represent our esteemed institution.

Participating in DUNMUN is an incredible opportunity for students to develop essential real-world skills. The conference strictly simulates actual UN committee sessions, requiring delegates to engage in high-level public speaking, diplomatic negotiation, and rigorous international policy research. It provides a unique platform to debate current global issues with brilliant minds from across the country, which will greatly enrich our practical knowledge and boost the college's academic reputation.

However, the individual delegate registration fee for this four-day conference is quite expensive, which is difficult for many of our selected team members to afford independently. To ensure that our most capable students do not miss out on this excellent opportunity due to personal financial constraints, we urgently request a registration grant from the college’s co-curricular activities fund to cover our entry fees.

We, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to grant us the official permission to attend the conference and sanction the necessary financial grant to facilitate our participation, thereby obliging us.

I am writing to formally request your approval and financial support for our senior delegation team to participate in the upcoming Dhaka University National Model United Nations (DUNMUN) conference. Our internal selection committee has recently finalized a team of five highly capable students who are fully prepared to represent our institution at this prestigious national academic event.

As you are aware, Model UN conferences are excellent platforms for practical youth development and leadership training. Participating in DUNMUN will allow our students to act as international diplomats, debating complex global crises and drafting comprehensive policy resolutions. This hands-on experience is absolutely invaluable for developing their critical thinking, conflict resolution, and advanced communication skills far beyond the standard classroom syllabus.

While our team is academically well-prepared, the overall cost of participation currently presents a significant barrier. The required delegate registration fees, along with the associated logistical expenses for the duration of the conference, are beyond the personal financial capacity of several team members. We are requesting a special educational grant from the school board to cover these mandatory registration costs so our team can compete on a level playing field.
