Write a formal letter of complaint to the Branch Manager of a courier service regarding a parcel delivered with missing goods.
15 June 2026
The Branch Manager,
Sundarban Courier Service,
Motijheel Branch, Dhaka.
Subject: Complaint regarding missing goods from a recently delivered parcel.
Sir,
With due respect, I would like to draw your urgent attention to a severe discrepancy regarding a parcel I received through your courier service yesterday. I am a regular customer of your esteemed company, but my recent experience has been highly disappointing and financially damaging.
On June 10, 2026, my uncle sent a large parcel containing essential academic books and a new digital calculator from your Chittagong branch to my Dhaka address under the consignment number CN-784521. While the deliveryman handed over the box on time, I discovered upon opening it that the expensive digital calculator and two crucial reference books were completely missing from the package.
Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the original packaging tape at the bottom of the box had been cleanly sliced open and resealed with a different layer of transparent tape. This clearly indicates that the package was deliberately tampered with during transit, and the valuable items were stolen by someone within your handling and sorting department.
I have attached a photocopy of the original booking receipt, which clearly lists the missing items and the total parcel weight at the time of dispatch. I strongly demand that you initiate an immediate investigation into this theft, track the handlers responsible, and arrange full financial compensation for my lost goods within the next seven days.
Yours faithfully,
Sajid Hasan

Write a formal email to the Customer Service Manager of a courier company complaining about some missing valuable items from your newly delivered package.
Subject: Urgent complaint regarding stolen items from package (Tracking ID: BD-9934)
Dear Sir,
I am writing to formally lodge an urgent complaint regarding a severe breach of trust and theft involving my recent shipment handled by your company. I received a delivery at my residence this morning, but I was shocked to find that the most valuable contents of the package were missing upon unboxing.
The parcel, bearing the tracking number BD-9934, was dispatched from Sylhet and was supposed to contain traditional winter clothing along with a newly purchased smart wristwatch. While the clothing was intact, the sealed box of the wristwatch had been completely emptied. Furthermore, the overall weight of the package upon delivery was noticeably lighter than the dispatched weight printed on your official waybill.
It is absolutely unacceptable that goods trusted to a reputed courier service are being tampered with and stolen during the logistics process. The fact that the parcel was cleverly resealed before delivery shows a coordinated effort to hide the theft. As a student, the loss of this expensive watch is a huge financial blow, and it completely shatters my confidence in your company's security protocols.
I strongly urge your department to immediately review the CCTV footage at your regional sorting hubs and check the intermediate weighing records to identify where the theft occurred. I expect a prompt reply to this email outlining the steps you are taking to investigate this matter and how you plan to compensate me for this unacceptable loss.
Best regards,
Sajid Hasan
