  3. How much traveling do you hope to do in the future? Why/Why not?

I hope to travel a lot in the future. Exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people are all very appealing to me. Traveling broadens my perspective and allows me to learn outside of the classroom.

I believe my life will change significantly in the future as I will gain more independence and responsibility. I expect to complete my education, start a career, and perhaps have my own family. These changes will help me grow and develop as a person.

PART II: Describe a Book That You Enjoyed Reading Because You Had to Think a Lot

One book that I enjoyed reading is "1984" by George Orwell. I decided to read it because I had heard a lot about its themes related to totalitarianism and surveillance, which intrigued me.

Reading this book made me think about the importance of freedom, privacy, and the impact of government control on society. The dystopian setting pushed me to reflect on current events and how they relate to the themes of the book.

I enjoyed reading "1984" because it challenged my thinking and made me question the world around me. The writing was thought-provoking, and it sparked deep discussions with friends about its relevance today.

PART III: Discussion Topics

Children and Reading

  1. What are the most popular types of children's books in your country?

In my country, picture books and fantasy novels are among the most popular types of children's books. Picture books engage younger children with colorful illustrations, while fantasy novels inspire imagination in older kids.

  2. What are the benefits of parents reading books to their children?

Parents reading to their children helps develop language skills, promotes bonding, and encourages a love for reading from a young age. It also stimulates imagination and enhances cognitive development.

  3. Should parents always let children choose the books they read?

While it’s important for children to have some choice in their reading material, parents should also guide them towards books that are age-appropriate and enriching. A balance between choice and guidance can help foster a lifelong love for reading.

Electronic Books

  1. How popular are electronic books in your country?

Electronic books are becoming increasingly popular in my country, especially among young people. The convenience of reading on devices and the wide selection of e-books available online contribute to their popularity.

  2. What are the advantages of parents reading electronic books compared to printed books?

One advantage of electronic books is their accessibility; parents can easily find a variety of titles online. E-books also allow for adjustable text sizes, making them more suitable for children with visual impairments. Additionally, they often come with interactive features that can enhance the reading experience.

  3. Will electronic books ever completely replace printed books in the future?

While electronic books offer many benefits, I don’t think they will completely replace printed books. Many people still enjoy the tactile experience of holding a physical book and the nostalgia that comes with it. There will likely always be a market for printed books alongside electronic ones.
