Dear Abir,

I hope you are doing well. I received your letter the day before yesterday. I felt really sad to read that you are struggling with English and feeling very afraid of the subject. Please do not lose heart. English is just a language, and with the right approach, anyone can master it.

To be competent in English, you need to practice the four basic skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. First, stop trying to just memorize things blindly. Start reading English storybooks, magazines, and an English daily newspaper regularly. When you find a new word, try to guess its meaning from the context, and then look it up in a dictionary. This will build a strong vocabulary for you.

Secondly, you need a basic understanding of grammar to make correct sentences. Practice writing a single page every day about your daily life. To improve your listening skills, watch English news channels or movies with subtitles.

Most importantly, you have to practice speaking. Talk to your friends or even yourself in English. Do not feel shy or scared of making mistakes; making mistakes is the first step to learning. If possible, you can also join a spoken English club or practice with a language partner.

I know you are a hardworking student. If you stick to this routine, your fear of English will disappear very soon.

Your loving friend,

Mahin

Dear Rafi,

I hope you are doing well. I am fine too. I received your letter yesterday and felt happy to know about your activities. However, I want to talk to you about something very important.

Nowadays, many people share news on social media without checking whether it is true or false. I have heard that you also sometimes share posts or rumours without verifying them. This is a very bad habit and you should stop it immediately.

You must remember that fake news can create confusion and problems among people. Sometimes it can even spread fear and misunderstanding in society. As a student, you should always be responsible and careful while using social media. Before sharing anything, you should check the source and make sure the information is correct.

You should not believe everything you see on Facebook or other platforms. Many posts are made just to get likes and attention. Instead of sharing rumours, try to share useful and educational content that can help others.

Always think twice before posting or sharing anything online. Being a responsible user of social media is very important in today’s world.

I hope you will understand my advice and follow it carefully from now on.

No more today. Take care of yourself and study well.

Yours lovingly,

Rahim

Dear David,

I hope you are well. I received your letter yesterday and I am very happy to know that you are interested in visiting South Asia and learning about Bangladesh. Today I will try to describe the sights, sounds, and natural beauty of my country.

Bangladesh is a very beautiful country full of natural wonders. It is a land of rivers, green fields, and peaceful villages. Everywhere you go, you can see green paddy fields waving in the wind and small rivers flowing gently. The countryside looks fresh and calm, especially in the rainy season when nature becomes greener and more attractive.

The sounds of Bangladesh are also very special. In the morning, birds sing in the trees and create a sweet natural music. You can also hear the sound of flowing rivers and the wind moving through the fields. In villages, people talk in a friendly way, and children play happily, which makes the environment lively and peaceful.

There are many beautiful places in Bangladesh. Cox’s Bazar has the longest sea beach in the world. The Sundarbans is a large forest filled with wild animals and natural beauty. Sylhet has green tea gardens and hills, while Bandarban is famous for its mountains and waterfalls. These places attract many tourists every year.

I hope you will visit Bangladesh one day and enjoy its natural beauty. I am sure you will love the peaceful environment and friendly people.

Yours ever,

Zaman
