A Clever Horse and a Wolf

A horse was grazing peacefully in a green field. A wolf passing by, saw the horse and its mouth began to water.

The wolf wanted to eat the horse's flesh. He thought the meat would taste delicious. But he realized that the horse was too big to manage to bring down.

He invented a plan to capture the horse. Advancing quite close, the wolf spoke to the horse,. trying to sound as pleasant as he could. He told the horse that his health looked rather pale.

The horse said that his body's colour was natural which looked pale. But the wolf pretended not to understand what the horse had said. He asked the horse if he was weak as he was grazing in the field instead of working. The horse said that as he was tired of working, his master let him graze in the field.

The wolf now circled round the horse, trying to find the best point to attack. He told the horse that he was a doctor and could give him treatment.

Now the horse understood the wolfs evil intention. He told him that he felt the pain in his legs behind. Without a moment's thought, the wolf came to the horse's back hoof which the horse raised into the air. And when the wolf had come within the range, the horse gave a mighty kick, hitting the wolf on the jaw bone.

One day, a horse was grazing peacefully in a lush, green field. As the horse munched on the grass, a wolf passed by and spotted the horse. The wolf’s mouth began to water as he thought about eating the horse's flesh. He immediately imagined how delicious the meat would be. However, he soon realized that the horse was too large for him to bring down easily.

The wolf, determined to find a way, came up with a clever plan. He walked closer to the horse, trying to sound as friendly as possible. The wolf told the horse that it looked pale and weak, hoping to make the horse feel insecure. The horse, unaware of the wolf’s intentions, explained that his natural color made him look pale.

The wolf persisted, pretending not to understand. He suggested that the horse might be weak since he was grazing peacefully in the field instead of working. The horse, tired from work, replied that his master had allowed him to graze in the field because he needed rest.

As the wolf circled around the horse, he searched for the right moment to attack. He then told the horse that he was actually a doctor and could offer treatment to help him feel better. The horse, sensing the wolf's trickery, quickly figured out the wolf’s evil plan. He cleverly told the wolf that he had pain in his back legs.

The wolf eagerly moved towards the horse's back legs, believing the horse's story. The horse, anticipating this move, raised one of his back legs into the air. As the wolf came closer, the horse swiftly delivered a powerful kick, hitting the wolf squarely on the jaw. The wolf was knocked out, and the horse had successfully protected himself from danger.

Moral: Cleverness and quick thinking can help us avoid danger and outsmart those who wish to harm us.

একটি ঘোড়া সবুজ মাঠে শান্তিতে চরে বেড়াচ্ছিল। পাশ দিয়ে যাওয়া একটি নেকড়ে ঘোড়াটিকে দেখতে পেল এবং তার মুখ জল দিতে শুরু করল। নেকড়ে ঘোড়াটির মাংস খেতে চাইল। সে ভেবেছিল মাংস সুস্বাদু হবে। কিন্তু সে বুঝতে পারল যে ঘোড়াটি এত বড় যে তাকে ধরে ফেলতে পারবে না। সে ঘোড়াটিকে ধরার জন্য একটি পরিকল্পনা তৈরি করল। বেশ কাছে এগিয়ে গিয়ে নেকড়ে ঘোড়ার সাথে কথা বলল। যতটা সম্ভব মনোরম শব্দ করার চেষ্টা করল। সে ঘোড়াকে বলল যে তার স্বাস্থ্য বেশ ফ্যাকাশে দেখাচ্ছে। ঘোড়া বলল যে তার শরীরের রঙ স্বাভাবিক যা ফ্যাকাশে দেখাচ্ছে। কিন্তু নেকড়ে ঘোড়া কী বলেছে তা না বোঝার ভান করল। সে ঘোড়াকে জিজ্ঞাসা করল যে সে কি দুর্বল কারণ সে কাজ করার পরিবর্তে মাঠে চরে বেড়াচ্ছিল। ঘোড়া বলল যে সে কাজ করতে করতে ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়েছে, তার প্রভু তাকে মাঠে চরে বেড়াতে দিয়েছে। নেকড়ে এখন ঘোড়ার চারপাশে ঘুরছে, আক্রমণ করার সবচেয়ে ভালো জায়গা খুঁজে বের করার চেষ্টা করছে। সে ঘোড়াকে বলল যে সে একজন ডাক্তার এবং তার চিকিৎসা করতে পারে। এখন ঘোড়া নেকড়েদের মন্দ উদ্দেশ্য বুঝতে পেরেছে। সে তাকে বলল যে সে তার পিছনের পায়ে ব্যথা অনুভব করছে। এক মুহূর্তও চিন্তা না করে, নেকড়েটি ঘোড়ার পিছনের খুরের কাছে এসে পড়ল, যা ঘোড়াটি বাতাসে তুলেছিল। এবং যখন নেকড়েটি সীমার মধ্যে এসে পড়ল, তখন ঘোড়াটি একটি জোরে লাথি মারল, নেকড়েটির চোয়ালের হাড়ে আঘাত করল।
