The Intelligence of a Boy

The railway ran through the middle of the village of Ratan, an intelligent boy of 10, was walking over the way. Soon he came to a bridge over the railway. Rantan could see that the bridge was badly destroyed by the current of the floodwater. From the opposite direction a train with many passengers and goods was rushing in a full speed. Rattan felt at a loss what to do with the situation.

Suddenly an idea struck his head. He knew that a stationmaster usually stops the train by fluttering red flag. As he was wearing a red shirt, he thought of giving red signal to the train. Thus putting off his shirt, he began to move it in the air. The driver could understand of any dangerous outcome. He was able to halt the train just before the bridge.

  The driver as well as the passengers came down from the train. They were surprised at the art of the boy. The news story was printed in almost every daily. The communication minister came hurriedly to Ratan’s house. He was highly pleased with Ratan and awarded him duly.

One day an intelligent boy named Alam was walking by a railway. At a place, he saw a break in the line. Somebody might have remove the rail. Within a second he. thought that railway driver might not be aware of the break and surely there would be a serious accident. He knew that within a short time a mail train would come and he grew anxious for the lives of the passengers. He began to think how he could save the train from the accident.

The boy knew that the driver would stop his train when any red flag came into his notice. The boy made up his mind to use his red shirt as a red flag.

At once he heard the whistle of the train. The train was coming at a full speed. The boy put off his shirt and tied it to a stick. He stood on the railway and began to wave it like a flag. The train was coming nearer to him but he did not move from the place near the break. He kept on waving the shirt. The driver noticed it and immediately stopped the train. He came to the boy with a very angry mood. He asked the boy why he was waving the shirt. The boy showed him the break.

The driver was very much pleased with the boy. He thanked the boy and said, "You've saved the lives of thousands of people. You're a very intelligent boy. May

Every evening, while the rest of the world illuminated their homes with the flick of a switch, Kamal’s village plunged into deep darkness. He had to study under the dim, flickering light of a kerosene lamp, which made his eyes burn and filled the small room with choking smoke.

Kamal’s father was a simple day laborer, and kerosene was an expense the family could barely afford. But Kamal didn't just complain about the darkness; he looked at the wind blowing fiercely across the open fields of his village and saw an opportunity. He had read in an old, torn science magazine about how wind could be converted into energy. With no money to buy a generator, he decided to build one himself.

He spent weeks scouring the local junkyard. He found an old bicycle hub, a discarded motor from a broken toy car, and some pieces of PVC pipe. His neighbors laughed at him as they watched him hammering away at "trash," but Kamal remained focused. He carved the PVC pipes into aerodynamic blades and attached them to the bicycle wheel. He used the small motor as a makeshift dynamo.

One windy night, Kamal climbed onto the roof of their hut and installed his creation. He connected two thin wires from the motor to a small LED bulb in his room. As the wind picked up, the blades began to spin—faster and faster. Suddenly, the tiny bulb flickered and then burst into a steady, bright glow. For the first time in history, a house in that village was lit by electricity produced right there on the spot.

The news of Kamal’s "magic light" spread like wildfire. Scientists and journalists from the city came to visit the obscure village to see the boy’s innovation. Impressed by his genius, a local university offered him a full scholarship to study Electrical Engineering.
